A Coffee with Emma
Stratford upon Avon is a world-renowned destination for those seeking culture, but what is it like for the locals? We sat down with Emma, our resident agent here for a nice sit down at MOR - an independent sourdough bakery serving up the best coffee and sweet treats.
First and foremost why did you choose to partner with Mr and Mrs Clarke?
I’d admired the Mr & Mrs Clarke brand from afar for some time so when the opportunity presented itself I jumped at the chance of becoming a Partner. I love the way we create bespoke marketing for every home we sell. We genuinely love getting to know people and helping them, whether they’re buying or selling. Mr & Mrs Clarke have broken the mould when it comes to Estate Agency and I’m proud to be a part of that journey.
Favourite type of property?
I see beauty and potential in many styles of property – but I particularly love properties that complement period characteristics with contemporary features.
Your Mr and Mrs Clarke highlight so far?
It has to be getting to know the team. Genuine, passionate, positive, supportive. They say ‘people buy people’… well, I’m well and truly sold.
Other than the lovely Stratford what is your favourite town/city?
I have so many, for different reasons… but if I had to pick just one it would probably be Porto (close to my husband’s hometown). The stunning Old Town on the picturesque Douro River, the iconic bridges, Beaux Arts and Baroque churches. Not to mention the year-round sunshine, the friendliest of locals, the freshest seafood and the tastiest, sweetest pasteis de nata (Portuguese custard tarts). I can’t wait to go back!
A little more personal…
Tea or Coffee?
Definitely coffee. Medium latte, 1 shot, not too hot.
P.s Thank you MOR for having us.
Early bird or night owl?
Neither, I tend to burn the candle at both ends.
What 3 items would I always find in your fridge?
Prosecco, charcuterie and ‘Hunter & Gather’ garlic mayo.
What was your first job?
Pounding the streets of Warwickshire with my microphone gathering ‘vox pops’ for BBC CWR Youth Radio.
Last series you binge-watched?
‘Behind Her Eyes’ on Netflix… the twist at the end… mind-blown.
Which website do you visit the most?
Probably Instagram – for inspiration on interior design, days out and what to cook for dinner!
