A day in Marylebone
If I could pick a day of the week to spend in Marylebone it would be Sunday.
There is a calmness that is unlike anywhere else in London. Locals wander along
Marylebone High Street, savvy tourists know where to sit with a coffee and watch
the locals wandering, and other Londoners head to the farmers market for a fix of
artisanal produce. We’ve put together our favourite places and things to do in
Marylebone, whatever day of the week you are lucky enough to be in town.
First coffee ☕️
Before anything can really start, wherever I am and whatever day of the week, I need coffee. Good coffee. Boxcar is my go to place. I grab a seat in the window, catch up on the news and my emails and soak up the relaxed vibes to prepare me for the day ahead.

I started practicing yoga several years ago and it has changed my life. I’m happier, healthier and prepared for any challenge. Indaba yoga studio has become my sanctuary and I love nothing more than starting the day with a power hour from 0730.

Avo & Eggs 🥑
Breakfast is usually on the go but sometimes I love to stop and enjoy something luxurious. Daylesford – the Cotswolds farm shop and restaurant in the heart of W1 – is the perfect place for a treat. Green juice and avo on sourdough is the perfect start to the day. I will inevitably pick up a few bits before leaving – I can’t resist a Daylesford scented candle and their organic hand-wash.

Meeting clients at The Conran Cafe always sparks creativity. It is a bustling spot on the ground floor of the Conran Shop, but because you are surrounded by inspiration it always sparks ideas and conversation. (There is always the excuse to do some shopping after the meeting!)

Flower Picking 💐
I adore Jane Packer – this gorgeous florist is steeped in history and in my opinion has been the leading florist in London for years. I love this place so much I’ve even written a whole journal post about the artistry. I pick up a weekly bouquet to fill my home with colour and heavenly scent.

Skin Care 🧖🏼♀️
Aesop is the best smelling shop in London. You can’t argue with me! I always have to have a Resurrection Aromatique Hand Wash by my kitchen sink and a matching Hand Balm in my hand bag.

Browsing Books 🐛
My favourite place in Marylebone has to be Daunt Books – just standing in this gorgeous bookshop makes me happy. The interior, the service and the vast array of books are all wonderful.

Market & Cheese 🧀
On Sundays I love walking around the weekly farmers market and picking up lots of lovely produce from the stalls. Everything is fresh and seasonal andI always end up bumping into someone I know and we end up having brunch in La Fromagerie.

Art Gallery 🎨
If you’re visiting on a Sunday you may be disappointed as it’s currently the only day it’s not open, however I couldn’t speak about Marylebone without mentioning my favourite place to check out new, emerging contemporary artists. They host some incredible pre-dinner private viewings so get on their mailing list!

This ticks all of my evening boxes – it’s fab for a cocktail with friends, and it is a lovely setting for supper with family. The food is great, the vibe is relaxed and the people are so friendly.
