Lifestyle 9 | Wildflowers
Last year I decided that a corner of our garden needed a splash of colour and some interest. I planted lots of different wildflowers and the results have been beautiful. Here are my tips on how to achieve the English country garden look.
Seed Bombs
These are essentially “green grenades” – just soak in water, drop onto the soil and watch a drab corner of your garden come to life. My favourite style is Kabloom (kabloomshop.co.uk), they are made from recycled materials that are biodegradable and leave only flowers after the explosion.
Wildflower Turf
This is the perfect way to create an instant natural habitat. Wildflower turf is free from weeds and easy to lay. It’s used by lots of trendy architects looking to create “living roofs”. It creates an ideal habitat for butterflies and insects. (wildflowerturf.co.uk)
