Lifestyle 19 | Christmas has come early
Today heralded the start to Christmas at Chez Clarke. There has been talk of where we will be eating turkey and pulling crackers; will it be at Mrs Clarke’s parents or at Mr & Mrs Clarke Snr (that is a saga you do not want to get involved in)? Village pre-Christmas drinks have been arranged on our morning dog walk and a tear has been shed at the latest John Lewis advert. You may say Bah humbug! You are starting your festivities too early! Well, I disagree, it is such a wonderful time of the year that mid November is fine by us to start chatting all things santa.
To get our appetites whetted we popped into our our local vintage shop, Heritage Trading in Hockley Heath, to have a sneak peek at the gifts and decorations they have on display before their Christmas Fair on 29th November 2pm-7pm.
If you haven’t been to Heritage Trading, I won’t hold it against you. It is tucked away at the back of a cute cafe called I-Crave and next to S. Mills, the best butchers in the area. It is an emporium of vintage bits and bobs that inspire the interior designer in us all. Sweet pictures in dainty frames, old chairs and lots of interesting pieces that the discerningly home owner loves.
Have a peek at our instagram to see what Heritage trading have on offer this Christmas. The Christmas vintage and antiques craft fair is being held at Heritage Trading on Sunday 29th November 2pm-7pm. The lovely owners will be supplying homemade rum truffles and mulled wine. See you all there.
