We rely on flowers to express emotions, a romantic gesture, a celebration or a housewarming gift. The ritual of giving and receiving a bunch of flowers is a simple pleasure – flowers make everyone smile.
Flowers play an important role at Mr & Mrs Clarke from using them when styling homes to sending a bunch of seasonal blooms to every client and customer when they move home. Our garden has been planted to provide our home with fresh flowers throughout the year and even the art that adorns the walls has a flower theme. There is no lingua franca in our floral world; a pretty posy of forget-me-nots and garden herbs on the kitchen table or a grand bouquet of roses, peonies and eucalyptus both bring joy to a home.

Here are a few of our favourite flower loving things for you to explore:
Columbia Road – there’s nothing better in our life than a huge market, bursting at the seams with flowers, cool people watching, homeware shops and a bakery from heaven. This is the scene that awaits you at Columbia Road Flower Market. Frankly, there’s no better place to be on a Sunday. Our favourite spot amongst the busy market is sitting at Lily Vanilli’s bakery with a slab of cake and looking at the art at Columbia Road Gallery. Our property over at Durant Street is just a street away!
Miss Pickering – The instagram of a flower shop filled with seasonal flowers and vintage vases and a whippet. Enough said.
Green & Wild – A big shout out to our local florist in Warwick. Green & Wild is a little oasis of floral loveliness in the pretty market town of Warwick. We can give these guys a call at the drop of a hat and ask for a bunch of flowers and within minutes they have magically produced a bouquet that takes your breath away (metaphorically not from the excess pollen!) They are floristry magicians.
Jane Packer Flower School – there are lots of floristry courses, flower schools and classes, but if you are going to do one you might as well do the best. The legendary Jane Packer flower school is truly inspirational.
Bloom & Wild – We used to love getting DVDs through the post from Love Film, but that was so 2000! The only thing we now order through the post is flowers. Bloom & Wild’s genius and beautifully packaged boxes of flowers are the perfect solution to sending flowers by post. If you have forgot a birthday and need a quick solution this is always a winner! There’s only 2 steps to receiving them. Here they are:
