The role of home has really shown in the form of a sanctuary over the past year. After speaking to Lisa Snowdon, we’re in agreeable that its more important than ever to feel warm and welcome within your home.
It’s easy to look at your four walls and wonder what could be. The kitchen and living room are usually the go to rooms to transform first, however inside Lisa’s space it’s apparent that the forgotten corners of a house complete the feeling of home.
Stepping inside Lisa’s Essex home you can see spicier shades as well as calming tones. This Edwardian house was bought by Lisa for £117,000 in 1997. It rapidly became a place to recover from the busy modelling schedule, and now represents stability and peace. It was a bit of a project but mostly aesthetic fixes and putting personal touches in. However, it soon became apparent a base in the capital was necessary.

London has everything you ever want and need. The different areas act as different worlds, and you can explore to your hearts content.
Lisa’s first London pad was a bolt hole in Camden with an all-important parking space. She bought it for £415,000 in 2008 and now rents it out.
A similar story for Nash House in Regent’s Park. Named her ‘dream home’ this building is an impressive Grade II listed post-war building – built in 1962 and designed by architect John Burkett, which she bought for £1.45 million. It’s a striking sight inside and out.
Marylebone High Street, the West End and Mayfair are on your doorstep which makes this a great spot for anyone wherever life may take you. You’re on the corner of the most wonderful park in London and green views adorn your windows. The communal garden and balcony make this a place to rest and feel like you’re in your own oasis.
The interior design is relaxing yet intriguing. The walls are white, which is a solid choice for refreshing the rooms and allowing the outside to shine through. Warmth is added by the parquet flooring and characterful archways, as well as the floor to ceiling windows.

I completely fell in love with its incredibly peaceful location within walking distance of central London, its huge windows, light-filled rooms and south-facing terrace.
