Coffee with Tom

Great design, good coffee and a nice natter. Those are a few of Tom’s favourite things. Based in Birmingham, Tom has had an exciting journey so far. We love nothing more than hearing his stories, so without further ado…

Strictly Business

First and foremost why did you choose to partner with Mr and Mrs Clarke?
I choose to partner with Mr and Mrs Clarke, because I love the brand, and the different approach to selling homes. It was also important that our culture reflects how we work with clients too. By working in partnership (not as subordinates) we are able to better represent our client’s interests.

Favourite type of property?
Town House – Georgian or Victorian – with a modern interior that still honours the past.

Your Mr and Mrs Clarke highlight so far?
Selling Haslucks Green Rd.t The sellers had bought through Mr and Mrs Clarke as first-time buyers and now we are selling their home to a new set of first-timers. It’s a lovely story.

Other than the lovely Birmingham what is your favourite town/city?
Tokyo or New York – but if I had to choose it would be Tokyo.

A little more personal…

Tea or Coffee?
Easy. Coffee.

Early bird or night owl?
The early bird catches the worm.

What 3 items would I always find in your fridge?
Ribeye Streak, Greek natural yoghurt and white wine – I don’t need to chill red in this climate.

What was your first job?
Worked for the travel arm of EF Learning. Basically I was promoting educational travel to American high schools and universities.

Last series you binge-watched?
I’m currently binging BBC’s The Serpent. I have the last 2 episodes to watch this week . Before that, I started rewatching the Anthony Bourdain’s stuff that came back to Netflix. Parts Unknown is probably the best of the bunch.

Which website do you visit the most?
Dezeen.
