Going Out in Warwickshire

This is a place of castles, medieval towns and marvellous country estates. Mr and Mrs Clarke was born here and has flourished since. We’re taking it back to our roots and giving you the highlight homes of this area at the moment.

We moved out of London five years ago and into a 16th Century cottage in the middle of the Warwickshire countryside. It was a hard decision to move out of the city we love so much, and away from friends, but we wanted a garden and yearned to live slowly. Being closer to family in case we were lucky enough to have children was a bonus.

I can say this with the deepest sincerity – moving to Warwickshire was the best decision of my life. We are a family of five, we live in a magical home that is surrounded by lush green fields and bird song, we grow vegetables and keep chickens, and to top it off I’m able to work from home (grandparents are within ten minutes for babysitting!)

Lockdown has given us the chance to reflect and be grateful for making the big decision to move. Warwickshire is a perfect mix of country and town; it’s got great transport links, an independent vibe and a fascinating history. We love our home and we love where we live.

We’ve selected just a few of our discerningly different homes in this beautiful area incase you fancied being our neighbours.

Explore beautiful villages

A dreamy nest to watch the cows graze and hear the birds chirp. You’ll find that inside it’s a pretty cottage – outside you’re in a blissful location. Stratford-upon-Avon, Loxley, Barford are all closeby so you can get your Shakespeare on.

Take a stroll into town with friends

Lovingly re-modelled, this home has the perfect mix of open plan spaces and private rooms. You can entertain friends, create family memories and work from home all in one place. If you’re not up for cooking for the masses, head out to the lovely town to a gorgeous cafe and some brunch. There’s plenty of choices but we recommend The Larder.

Wyndrush near Leamington Spa

Collect some wildflowers & eggs

This perfectly pretty farm house has lots of potential, as well as character. The charming surroundings are mostly yours, and if the land belongs to someone else then you will be made to feel very welcome indeed. Think galloping horses, clucking chickens and wildflowers.

Fancy living in a picturesque and friendly village where neighbours stop to chat, children play and there is always something happening on your doorstep?  Look no further. And on the inside, Grange Hall is like stepping into the pages of Living Etc magazine. Win-win!
