Vicky’s Story

At first, it can be a bit disorientating to step out of London straight into the countryside. But small places don’t have small personalities. From Californian boho to Rutland barns, Vicky’s story is one with musical twists and theatrical turns. To have a band managing, set designing, creative writing, interior styling Partner on board is truly something discerningly different. We want to show you how an interest in property, and passion for people can give you a head start in becoming an estate agent.

“I joined Mr and Mrs Clarke with my Interior Stylist hat on first. I reached out to boss man Paul Clarke and expressed my joy at finally finding an agency in the UK that puts so much pride in their visuals.”

Here’s a glimpse into Vicky’s Mr and Mrs Clarke journey so far…

Why did you choose Mr & Mrs Clarke?

vicky smiling

I wanted to join the team as their in house stylist, but having had my own experience with my own properties over the years, I saw there was an opportunity to get on board with an agency I aligned with and try to make the difference I know all of us want when it comes to the buying and selling of our homes.

I bought, fixed and sold my own properties and also dealt with agents along the long way. It was disheartening to say the least.

Where I come from staging and styling homes for the marketing photos is the norm. And my Partnership with Mr & Mrs Clarke allows me to run my business the way I want, whilst giving clients an excellent service, whilst having the support of a talented team behind me!

“The styling was exceptional and Vicky’s vision and attention to detail allowed our property to be showcased to its full potential. Would recommend to anyone seeking an honest, committed professional experience of staging and selling their home.”

How did you become an estate agent?

vicky at partner day

I’ve bought and sold properties in different countries, and have experience with buying and selling – like many people I was disappointed with the service I received. It made me want to become an agent and do it better, but I didn’t want to work for the run of the mill estate agency.

I am also a stylist and have worked on lots of commercial and residential projects. The mix of estate agency and stylist was something I needed to marry up. The only thing I was apprehensive about was the fact that I had never actually been an estate agent as such.

After a chat with Paul (Mr Clarke) I soon realised that I could train to be an estate agent with Mr and Mrs Clarke and that they could offer me all the support I required. They gave me access to an industry leading training programme and I am working towards a recognised qualification. I was also give access to an incredible online resource called The Partner Network, which has everything I need to run my business.

I feel that my offering is unlike any other agent in the UK – stylish and skillful. They have me from start to finish and I have the backing of an incredible support team at Mr and Mrs Clarke.

We have recommended her to friends and will continue to do so without hesitation. In an industry where reputation is very important Vicky should have the very best. Thank you so much Vicky and Mr and Mrs Clarke.

What have you found clients love about Mr & Mrs Clarke?

We are discerningly different for many reasons, for me the main one is we care deeply about your home and how it is presented to the world.

From viewings to offers through to completion, my clients only ever have to deal with me. I know for certain no one in Stamford and Rutland does the same.

Whether it’s advice, styling and getting their home ready, client’s love working with people and they don’t love being passed around. I help them prep their space from interior design advice, decluttering, and honest conversations as well as explain to them the process of getting a press interview for example.
