Caerleon Road

Caerleon Road

A collection of greenery in Newport

Just over the hill you have Beechwood Park so you can look forward to weekend strolls in crunchy-leafed autumn through to summery picnic days. If you want a sit down mean, head to the 5* luxury Celtic Manor (which is a five-minute drive away up Christchurch Road) where you can also top up on your golf skills, or pamper yourself with a facial and relax in the jacuzzi. You are also perfectly placed to take some time out in Caerleon. Let the relaxed vibes rub off on you.

Try Machen Interiors on the High Street to bag yourself unique goodies for your home. Once you’re shopped out, kick back in the The Priory; an 18th hotel that produces some of the most exquisite food in it’s light and airy restaurant or take a pinot in the garden. Watch out for the wooden statues though…

Friendly vibes & great food

Caerleon Road is served by some cracking primary schools. In Caerleon itself there’s The Lodge and Charles Williams and St Julians too. You’re well connected here even though its a few miles outside of the city, you don’t really need a car. There’s plenty of great transport links throughout, so when the shops call, you don’t need the headache of finding somewhere to park. If you’re heading further afield, turn down Caerleon Road and you can be on the M4 within a few minutes for an easy commute to Cardiff or Bristol, or head northeast from there and the countryside awaits at Wentwood Forest – wonderful!

  • Stores: The Cwtch at Ffwrwm; an eclectic mix of home goods and clothing where you can get into the festival spirit with their hand made sari silks, or for the kids some home knits made by Nanny Noo.
  • Supermarket: There's local delis & butchers - what a treat!
  • Walks: So many parks nearby (and a golf course!)
