Coed Eva
a suburb of the new town
Heol y Groes is a new development in Coed Eva, a small suburb of Cwmbran. A modern selection of lovely homes that have a strong sense of community that sit towards the south western part of the new town. Tranquil surrounds, views and the countryside are not that far away, makes this a great spot for exploring and taking in the fresh air around every corner. There are good looking homes too. Head upwards 419 metres and you reach the top of the Twmp where you can survey Newport Risca and much further over the Bristol channel.
On the warmest of days, we recommend heading to The Dorallt that’s just a few minutes away and would be your local. Sip on a pint of IPA in the 18th-century inn or watch the kids play in the park opposite while you have a natter with friends over a latte. The Blinkin Owl is a little closer and does great Sunday roasts.
The good life
There are a few great schools in the area, Nant Celyn and Coed Eva for the infants and Cwmbran High for the older ones.
Well connected? You are still well connected here. Head down Cwmbran Dive and you’re in Newport in 10 minutes and the fabulous free parking of Cwmbran Shopping is just 5. The M4 whizzes you to Bristol or Cardiff and in 2 hours you’re in London, Cardiff is a mere 25 mins away; Bristol 35 mins. If the train is more you, then the station in Cwmbran whisks you off to Birmingham in just under 3 hours.
