Cross Keys

Cross Keys

Well connected and lush surroundings combine

A quiet location, close to main routes vis road and train, with the closest train station just five minutes away, Cross Keys is an urban area of Newport but with nature on your doorstep. Locally, the Cwmcarn scenic drive is ideal for walks but, more importantly, perfect for mountain biking. While there you can rent and stay in glamping pods, making a weekend of your adventure or simply visit for the day, with a pitstop at the biker’s cafe.

A friendly place with a great sense of community

Venturing a little way further, Risca is a small town on the historic boundaries of Monmouthshire. Brew Teahouse is a must-visit on your list. From eggy bread stacks to freshly baked brownies, you won’t be disappointed. For evening endeavours, Tamarind is a firm fave in Risca, as well as Gem42, the Italian. Or, should you head over to Rogerstone, the sublime Mama Lina’s is waiting to serve you.
