Cuxham

Cuxham

Picture Perfect

Sometimes you drive into a village and just wish you lived there. Cuxham is one such place. It is a postcard perfect village South Oxfordshire. We spent the afternoon sat in The beer garden of the local pub sampling delicious pizzas and local ales whilst talking to some very pleasant locals, “Cuxham is a friendly village full of families. Some families have young children and others have grandchildren, but we all get along splendidly and there is a cracking vibe.” Said one very stylish local Grandma. Her husband, a dapper chap who worked in London before retiring chipped in “There is a thriving village community and you are super close to Henley, Oxford and London.”
There is a parish church, village hall and a 17th century pub called the Half Moon that dishes up the most wonderful pizzas and local ale. The beer garden is something Carlsberg would have designed!

Vibrant country living

The nearby town of Watlington is situated at the foot of the Chiltern escarpment. There are all the necessary facilities including a public library, cracking schools, medical and veterinary surgeries and sports clubs.
Junction 6 of the M40 is 4.5 miles away and you can be whizzing to London, the Midlands and Oxford and High Wycombe in no time at all. The Oxford Tube coach service, operating a 24 hour service between London and Oxford picks up and sets down at junction 6. A local bus company provides an hourly service via the village between Watlington and Oxford. The Superfast Broadband capability is now “live” in the village, with the cabinet located just under 200 metres from the property.
Ewelme CofE Primary School & Watlington Primary school are both very highly regarded state primaries. Then there is a fine selection of independent and state secondaries.
