Earlsdon
A village in the city
Considered to be one of the most desirable suburbs in South Coventry, Earlsdon boasts a wealth of local amenities and sits within easy access to main roads and the train station.
Earlsdon high street is buzzing with cafes, restaurants and everything you would need on your doorstep: banks, green grocers, butchers and a wonderful organic food shop. We recommend visiting Myrtles, Cafe Bravo or Angelito for your caffeine fix.
Being only a twenty minute walk away from Coventry’s main train station, you could be in London in an hour, Birmingham in thirty minutes, or the south coast in two hours. Coventry City Centre is perfect for enjoying a spot of retail therapy, while also being home to the new cathedral designed by Sir Basil Spence; famous for being an icon of peace, and a stunning venue for a variety of events, concerts and exhibitions. For lovers of theatre, comedy and music, there is the Warwick Arts Centre close by, as well as the Belgrade Theatre and Albany Theatre.
Earlsdon sits in close proximity to the beautiful War Memorial Park and Spencer Park, perfect for dog walks and lovers of the outdoors, while the nearby tennis courts are available to hire before visiting the “The Bistro in the Park” within the Pavilion.
A leafy suburb
Also only a short drive away from Earlsdon are the picturesque and historic towns of Kenilworth and Warwick boasting their medieval castles, and the elegant Regency town of Royal Leamington Spa.
Earsldon itself has a thriving community, with friendly pubs (our favourites include The Royal Oak and Beer Gonzo) and a some lovely places to eat. There’s also Hearsall Golf Club for golf lovers as well as Crown Bowling Green in Coventry to while away an afternoon.
