Pontyclun

We love the village feel

Cross Inn, Pontyclun, offers a rare combination of inter-city living with a village vibe. And all surrounded by picturesque mountains, streams and woodlands. What more could you ask for?

There’s a good choice of schools, with Penygawsi Primary School and Bryn Celynnog Comprehensive School nearby. Llantrisant Leisure Centre offers gym, swim and fitness facilities, and everything from large supermarkets and retail parks with all the well-known names, to local village pubs and restaurants on hand.

Local life

The Cross Inn is the proud winner of the best country pub award 2022, and the Miskin Arms, Caesars Arms, and the Trattoria Restaurant and Gin Bar are also firm favourites.

It’s less than five minutes to Junction 34 of the M4, providing quick access to Cardiff, Swansea and the national network. Pontyclun Train Station is six minutes away, or hop on the bus – just four minutes away in Talbot Green.

If the great outdoors is your thing, you’re spoilt for choice, with Smilog Woods the place to be for mountain bike trails, the stone tower of Billy Wynt, and Caerau Hillfort all on hand. Taff Ely Ridgeway Walk and Old Llantrisant are also superb.
