Puttenham
Postcard perfect
This village is a serene, lush place to live. Giant trees, vast woodlands and chocolate-box shops. There’s things you don’t necessarily need but it’s nice to have…Greyfriars vineyard, Hogs Back brewery, a village hall which hosts puppy training, and ties with the rock band Queen. A surprising mixed bag.
The North Downs run through here and brings with it cycling and hiking opportunities. If golfing is your thing then you’re in luck as Puttenham golf course is excellent. Sandown and Goodwood are close if you’re after a faster paced sport.
...With oodles of charm.
Farmland and vast AONB countryside views come at you from all angles. For your flower fix you have RHS Wisley nearby just off the A3. You’re close to market town Guildford where you can stroll along the canal to Godalming (home to one of our fave home stores Wattle & Daub). You’ll be pleased to find out you can be fast-tracked into London Waterloo under 36 minutes from these nearby train stations.
Schools are outstanding in this part of the country for all ages – private options include Charterhouse, St Hilary’s and King Edward’s and there are some outstanding state primary and secondary options too. are just a few to mention.
