Equidistant between Loughborough and Leicester, Rothley is ideally situated with excellent transportation links. The bus route is particularly efficient between the two. The M1 (J22) is 8 miles away, and East Midlands Airport less than 15 miles.
Rothley itself is a thriving North Leicestershire village and this lovely home is just three or four minutes walk from the centre. The picturesque village offers an impressive range of shops, pubs, restaurants, and cafés and is proud home to the historic Rothley Court Hotel and Rothley Park Golf Club.
Local life
The village also has an excellent primary school and both state and private secondary schools, including the highly regarded Leicester Grammar School and Ratcliffe College, within easy reach. The rolling hills of the surrounding Charnwood Forest boast a number of local beauty spots for the young and the young at heart, and Swithland Reservoir is perfect for a long walk.
Rothley has its own thriving community and range of shops, including a post office. We love Corts of Rothley, a family hardware business, which sells just about everything you could need! Bradley’s is the local independent supermarket and located just by the church, just a couple of minutes away from home, is the family-friendly Woodman’s Stroke (affectionately known as The Woodies). Stop off for home cooked fayre and a refreshing drink or two.
