Small and quiet...

Quaint postcard pretty homes decorate well connected streets. It’s quite surprising that you can hop in the car and be on the A1 in minutes. The train from Stamford takes you to other great locations like Grantham where you can explore independent shops, seasonal markets and leisure centres. Rutland Water is a short drive away with it’s wildlife spotting points, and lovely long walks. We’ve been known to attempt a run or two to blow away the cobwebs.

As far as schools go, Stamford Endowed Schools is excellent. After school why not head to Tolethorpe Open Air Theatre for a bit of culture!?

...but picturesque and well-connected.

Captivating the hearts of fellow locals, Cafe au Chocolat brings the sweetest tastes of France to Stamford. The buildings surrounding this cute spot are gorgeous. Grab a hot chocolate and marvel at the stone façades and Georgian architecture. For a wonderful weekend head to Burghley House – a grand sixteenth-century English country home – where you can wander amongst neatly landscaped gardens and relax whilst enjoying a picnic. To top the day off, head to Skeleton Wine to have a try of some local wine as well as from afar. Lush!
