West Green

West Green

Rapidly changing...

In short: It’s an incredibly diverse community of different cultures, with extensive green spaces, amazing transport links and a thriving community spirit.

The longer story from Christian: I have lived here for 6 years – it’s the friendliest place I have lived in London. I know my neighbours, and use all the local businesses too. It’s getting better and better, with new businesses opening weekly and has all the amenities you could possibly wish for.

You are right in between Seven Sisters and Turnpike Lane, so links into and out of town are amazing. The schools are really great – Chestnuts is well established and provides an amazingly caring and loving environment, with West Green Primary improving rapidly ever term. The areas amazing cultural diversity is evident in its dazzling array of places to eat – Turkish, Japanese, Vegan, Columbian, Italian…you name it, its here. There are some brilliant new pubs in the area – The Palm and True Craft being firm favourites.

...Incredibly friendly.

Walking down the street and turning corners, you’ll be able to spot Victorian and Edwardian terraces, 1920’s semi’s, post war council and, increasingly, high quality New London vernacular blocks of apartments. On your way to brunch to Forks and Green at the entrance to Downhills Park, make sure you look up at the architecture. You’ll notice something new each day.

The Palm, True Craft and Passione e Tradizione is great for family fun time. Craving the outdoors? Downhills Park and Lordship Rec
are two to check out after school. Ten to One Restaurant & Cocktail Bar is a great spot for someones birthday, or a special occasion. Wanting to go further afield? You have amazing connections on the Victoria Line, Piccadillym Lane, Overground and National Rail.
