Woldingham

Woldingham

An idyllic, exclusive village

This little green corner of Surrey has the schooling, property and amenities that the most discerning of home hunters are looking for. Add in our favourite new country club – The Beaverbrook – being only twenty minutes away this could be the best place to live in the UK (discuss).
Nestled within the North Downs between Oxted and Warlingham lies the quintessential village of Woldingham. The unique character of the village, the surrounding green belt and the high end residents makes this a very sought after place to call home. On a nice day you can stroll to “The Crescent” to pick up your fruit & veg, or if its raining then jump to Waitrose down the road! There’s also a large recreation ground with tennis courts for a friendly tournament, and Woldingham Golf Club and North Downs Golf Club for something a bit more serious.
Whether it’s activity, entertainment or relaxation, all these things are close by which is proof that Woldingham is a great place to call home. There’s an abundance of countryside walks where you can adventure through ancient woodland as well as stop off at Woldingham Garden Village or The Dene ate grab a well earned lunch. A lovely family day out is strolling through the bluebells in the near by greenery. There’s also the Butterfly and Glow Worm hunt each year! For a bit of peace and quiet head to Beaverbrook spa over in Leatherhead – it’s an ideal spot to catch up on emails whilst sipping on a coffee at the deli.

A village with personality and charm

If all the green gets a bit much then head to Reigate or Sevenoaks for some retail therapy or head for Woldingham Station where you can be whizzing into London Bridge and London Victoria – there are trains every hour during peak times.. The Thameslink at East Croydon provides access into town. The M25 is easily accessible and Gatwick is within half an hour making a last minute getaway as easy as saying “Ibiza or Paris this weekend?”
Woldingham Civil Parish operate a village website with everything you need to know about the comings and goings locally.
The education options are fabulous – there are great independent – Woldingham School in particular is a wonderful school for 11-18 year old girls – and state schools close by, especially the very sought after Woodlea Primary school.. There are also so many sports clubs, drama classes and music teachers throughout the reason to provide something different every night for the little darlings.
