Mr Clarke thinks :
I can move straight in, and put my own personal touch on the space.
This large one bedroom, penthouse pad has been decorated and modified in the past couple of years. With enviable views out towards Canary Wharf, you really feel part of the bustling city whilst being surrounded by greenery (and not just the communal garden), riverside, colourful buildings and friendly faces.
With an off street parking space, there may not be any need to use public transport, but this home is close to the DLR and bus stops which can take you practically anywhere.
Inside, windows flood the space with natural light. Most of these are South facing, but you get a great Eastern and Western aspect too.
Mrs Clarke loves :
The enviable views over Canary Wharf.
We like the fact the hallway is the portal for every room. It is a simple layout but one which is practical. The bedroom is on one side of the home meaning if someone wants to watch a film in the living room you can atleast sleep easy. The bathroom (with bath) and kitchen are in the core, and then the living room at the rear. This room is spacious and has lots of possibilities.
There is ample storage space including a built in cupboard in the living room and generous loft space. The result is an apartment that you will be able to put your own stamp on, and be proud to call home.
Whether you’re a first time buyer, or looking for a property to buy and let, or just looking for an East London adobe - this one is neat.
- Three words : Bright, airy, penthouse.
Our favourite part
The abundance of natural light.
Well connected & friendly
Even if you haven't heard of Aberfeldy Village, you've probably heard of it's neighbouring villages. Poplar for example (on the DLR) takes its name from the native trees (Populus canescens and Populus nigra) that once thrived on the moist alluvial soil beside the marshes in East London. Isle of Dogs has since sprouted across the water, and West India Docks nextdoor is a great spot to watch Cormorants and Coots.
Aberfeldy Village itself has a friendly community feel.
Marner Primary School and Langdon Park School are close by, and so is the rest of London to play, relax and eat in. As previously mentioned, your closest station is a DLR which takes you into Bank in no time. Alternatively, you can have a pleasant walk to Bromley-by-Bow and grab the District Line.
A great sense of community
