This spectacular, newly built, seven-bedroom house occupies a highly desirable position on Avenue Road in leafy Dorridge. The house offers over 4,500 sq ft of stunning internal living space spread across three floors. From the moment you drive through the gates you appreciate that this is a luxury home that has been designed and built to exacting standards. There's even a smart home system to make your lives better and easier.
Upon entry, a series of zones become immediately apparent, setting up a journey through largely open plan spaces, via textural and voluminous variations. The vast entrance hall is flooded with natural light and your eyes are led up the elegant staircase to the upstairs beyond. To one side of the hall is the main living area, divided into sitting room and dining room. Past the cloakroom and store cupboard, the house opens up dramatically in to a large open plan kitchen and the garden - it is a space that will please the most discerning of home hunters. Glazed ceilings soar up to the sky and the room is bathed in wonderful levels of natural light. The sliding doors open onto the patio and garden creating an effortless link between indoors and outside.
Beyond the communal kitchen/dining room you find two flexible spaces that could be used as a gym, office, children's play space or a lounge. These rooms create privacy and the inclusion of wide glazed doors maximise the flow of light. The boot room, utility room and garage add a purposeful dimension to this stylish home.
Mrs Clarke loves :
The immaculate fixtures and fittings.
The spectacular oak staircase dramatically ascends to the upper floors and the stunning front window. On the first floor the Master suite bedroom is positioned in a quiet position at the rear of the property. The views from here are across the garden and tree tops, which create a bucolic and calming vibe that lends itself to a peaceful nights sleep. This impressive room boasts an en-suite bath and shower room, large walk-in wardrobe and a private dressing room. Four further bedrooms are arranged across this floor, one with en-suite shower room. The stylish family bathroom is luxuriously appointed and large enough for even the most serious of bathers.
The second floor is formed of two rooms, one of which has an en-suite bathroom. The other is intended to be games room, cinema room or the children's domain, allowing them ample room to entertain away from the quieter areas of the house below.
- Three words : Location. Style. Space.
Our favourite part
The mix of large open plan communal spaces and intimate rooms make this the perfect family home.
Luxury Living with everything on your doorstep
Dorridge is a lovely leafy suburb renowned for its luxurious housing and great rail connections. The schools are tip top and seriously sought after with a good selection of both private and state options. In the village centre you’ll find everything from a butchers, bakers and there is probably even a candle stick maker!
You are spoilt for choice of where to meet for coffee. One day it is Espresso where they chat about schools on the vintage leather armchairs. Another day it's going out for something a bit more special (it's all about cocktails) at Oktogon in Knowle. If pints are more your thing, then head to The Ale Rooms on the way home from work, or a sunny afternoon. Families fight for the best table at The Bread Collection in Knowle for some of the best pizza this side of Italy.
David Lloyd in Solihull is excellent for swimming lessons or Earlswood for riding lessons.
Pop on the Barbour jacket and Hunter wellies and head to nearby Lapworth for a countryside walk to help you blow out the cobwebs after work or if you just fancy a long Sunday ramble.
Mr Clarke loves the fact that he can grab his favourite flat white and a pain au chocolate right on the platform at the station before boarding the 06:56 to London.
Dorridge is possibly the best connected place in the UK. As well as the railway station, you are minutes from the Midlands Motorway Network with the M42 having links to the M1, M5, M6 and the M40. Mrs C loves that Birmingham Airport is just 16 minutes by car and Solihull is a mere 10 minute drive.
Tree lined avenues, well connected and a super friendly community. What more could you want?
