Mr Clarke loves :
The character and creative potential
This impressive six double bedroom family home offers over 3000 sq ft of living accommodation and is only a 5-minute walk to Oxted station and town centre.
Built in the 1920’s, you step in to the light and spacious entrance hall, which leads to the main downstairs accommodation. We love all the character like the beautiful carved oak doors. The first room you come to is the large family room at the front, with large bay window and feature fireplace with carved wood surround and glazed tiles in the family room - perfect for a cosy relaxing evening in the winter. Back through the hallway and to the right you enter the large sitting/drawing room which leads on through to a large all year-round sunroom, which is currently being used as a dining area. The kitchen boasts a fantastic range cooker and and central island providing ample worktop space, as well as views out to the rear garden and a utility room off to the side. Back towards the entrance hall is the breakfast room which is currently being used as a study and benefits from generous amounts of built in storage.
Upstairs to the first floor are four spacious double bedrooms and the family bathroom which provides a large walk-in shower, bath, WC and vanity unit with basin. On the top floor are a further two double bedrooms with the larger benefiting from built in wardrobes and a characterful vaulted dormer. The bathroom has been refitted to include a large shower and roll top bath, as well as a lovely feature fireplace.

The beautiful wood carving in the entrance hall
Outside to the front is a spacious driveway that can easily accommodate five cars and a separate garage. There is a gate providing rear access to the picturesque rear garden where there is a patio area perfect for entertaining and a beautiful border with mature roses. There is also the added benefit of a workshop and a summer house/home office with power and WC.
- Style : Impressive family home
- Setting : Minutes from the town centre
- Three words : Impressive. Space. Location.
Our favourite part
The downstairs living space is incredibly spacious.
A perfect town
Head to the far east of the Surrey and you'll find a charming town with a big personality set at the foot of the North Downs - Oxted. This charming little town is popular with commuters due to a fast train in to London Bridge in just over 30 minutes, as well as also going direct in to London Victoria. The town provides everything you could wish for, including a large Morrisons, a Little Waitrose and boutique shops of every size.
There are enough lovely restaurants to dine out every night for a fortnight and newly refurbished Everyman Cinema. The leisure centre and the beautiful Master Park is perfect for little ones and big ones to spend Saturday mornings.
Lying in the eastern part of Surrey in the local district of Tandridge, Oxted was listed in the Domesday book of 1086 as Acstede which translates as 'place where Oaks grow'. It is an attractive bustling town with a direct train service to London. You will find a wide choice of restaurants and the delightful High Street is home to four pubs, The Old Bell, The George Inn, The Crown Inn and The Wheatsheaf. The stunning gardens at Titsey Place, one of Surrey's largest survinging estates can be found nearby.
