A village with it all

This is a village that has everything you need – good road and rail links, good schools, nice shops and cracking pubs.

The village square housing a user-friendly range of stores and restaurants ranging from Indian and Chinese takeaways to the award-winning EJ Crow butchers who do a very tasty pie and some great sausages.

For the pub lover you have a fine selection of local inns including the Red Lion catering for the food end of the market to The Swan for those who enjoy a pint. Real ale lovers however may decide to go a couple of miles outside the village to the Coach and Horses at Weatheroak, where you may find Mr Clarke at the bar. Sited on the old Roman road of Icknield Street it has a cellar boasting a wide range of real ales and is home to the renowned small brewery Weatheroak Ales. The owners are lovely as are the locals.

A buzzing social scene and lovely people

Once people come here they tend to stay here. Alvechurch is what you would call a proper village... shops, pubs, a railway station great schools and pretty countryside school. It is very close to the M42 and the M5, Birmingham and Redditch are close to hand and there is also the canal. There is even a good local cricket club.

If you want a bit of countryside within easy reach of Birmingham and motorways, you have found your ideal village.
