thinks:
There are three garages for my cars, stables for the horse, a private office and an outbuilding to convert into a Granny annexe. When can I buy it?

A stylish country house, nestled in the heart of beautiful countryside and minutes away from Knowle. Park Corner House is a very special home for the discerning family.

loves:
This is a country residence from the pages of Country Living. I love it. Private, tranquil and big. But it is so close to Solihull to get my retail therapy fix and a flat white.

Locations don't come better than this, tucked well off the main road into Knowle and Dorridge from Chadwick End you find yourself in tranquil countryside where the Knights Templar used to hunt deer in days gone by. Yet you are within touching distance of vibrant urban hubs and transport links. When the electric gates open and the sight of Park Corner House comes into view you can't help but smile. The 2 acres of garden and 5 acres of paddock frame the house beautifully. Mind the ducks as you pull up and make your way into the house. Park Corner House has everything you desire from a large country house. There is a warm welcome from the Aga log burner in the grand Reception Hall. Solid oak flooring and high ceilings create a light and spacious feel as you make your way into the home. Every modern family needs a large, open plan kitchen and that is exactly what you find in Park Corner House. The room is subtly divided into a kitchen, a dining space and a fabulous sitting area. The south facing aspect floods the room with natural light and the views across the gardens are stunning. There is of course the obligatory cream, four oven Aga as well as the on trend country chic tiled floor, handmade wood cabinetry and beech worktops.

Off the kitchen are the other two country home must haves; a utility/boot room so you can be in and out to the kitchen garden and the dog can be stopped from bringing muddy paws into the kitchen. Then there is the pantry for all of those ingredients you will need when throwing lavish dinner parties for family and friends. Through the inner hall you find a WC and a door leading into one of two further reception rooms. The Drawing Room and the Living Room are both light and spacious and beautifully decorated. Both rooms have fireplaces and large windows looking out to different aspects of the gardens. Upstairs there are five double bedrooms, two en suite bathrooms and a family bathroom. The views from each bedroom are magnificent. The uninterrupted vistas across surrounding countryside is a magical view to wake up to. There are two heated airing cupboards off the landing and integrated storage in three of the bedrooms. A grand country house is more than just a stunning and spacious interior. The gardens, land and outbuildings are of equal importance. Park Corner House boasts 7 acres of land. There are natural ponds filled with carp and rudd, lawns, kitchen gardens with raised beds, orchards with old apple, pear and plum trees, stabling for 2 horses plus tack room and feed store, as well as patios surrounding the house. Although large, the gardens are relatively low maintenance. This is a garden to enjoy. Children can enjoy the great outdoors without having to leave the property. There are uninterrupted views of countryside in every direction and with the lack of immediate neighbours you can have fun in the garden in total privacy.

There is a state-of-the-art garage block with separate bays for three cars. Above the garage is a large and well appointed room that is currently used as an office. The room is entirely flexible and could easily become a play room, cinema, annex bedroom or gym. The final space in this never ending home is the building at the rear of the property, next to the stables. It offers scope for redevelopment. The 70 square metre, brick built, building is currently used as a workshop. However, it could be a separate accommodation for a nanny, Granny or grown up children returning home from university before jumping onto the property ladder.

Our favourite part
We love the kitchen. You can open the door and make use of the garden effortlessly. Children and dogs running in and out, carrying food out to the patio for alfresco dining is wonderful. When the British weather is unkind, you can close the windows but still appreciate the views across the garden. The kitchen and dining area beautifully country chic with the must have cream Aga.
