Coldharbour Lane, Brixton for sale with Mr and Mrs Clarke estate agent

Mr Clarke thinks :
I'll never get tired of an open plan living area; I can be cooking for guests whilst they relax in the same space.

Located centrally in Loughborough Junction, just moments away from the rail station, it's plain to see it’s been transformed into an extremely well-designed home with a calm and serene vibe. But don’t be fooled - you’re still right in the heart of the action if you want to be.

Back inside, the heart of this property is the bright and sociable open plan living space; the perfect place to relax and entertain friends. The sleek kitchen is well equipped and there is a great deal of storage space for those keen cooks. The living and dining area is drenched in light, with the L-shaped layout providing separation from the kitchen, whilst keeping the space sociable.

Both sumptuous bedrooms are equally generous in size, making this home ideal for sharers as well as those looking for a good sized guest room or home office.

Mrs Clarke loves :
The neutral decor throughout. I can't wait to pop my favourite artwork up on the walls for a splash of colour.

The large and luxurious bathroom completes this exceptionally well-proportioned home and with plenty of storage on offer, it delivers a fantastic buy in a thriving area of London.

This lovely and bright 2 bedroom apartment is set on the top floor of the former Mucky Duck pub; a piece of local history once frequented by musicians including Mike Skinner as famously referenced in the Streets ‘lets push things forward’. With both Brixton and Camberwell a mere stroll away, as well as the wealth of shops, bars and restaurants on your doorstep, this apartment offers exceptional convenience and easy access to enjoy everything London has to offer. Despite the central location, green space is never far away, with the beautiful views of Ruskin Park a few minutes’ walk away, as well as the fantastic (if a little hilly for joggers!) Brockwell Park close by in leafy Herne Hill.

Summary :

  • Design Features :  You have everything here to live comfortably in a modern, pristine home.
  • Three words :  Space. Light. Ambience.

Cool, diverse...

We can't mention Brixton without mentioning Brixton Market. There's always something new to spot whilst wandering around; whether you want some fabric for a DIY project, some local produce to try out a new recipe or a sit down meal at one of the many great restaurants which caters for everyone.

You're super connected to the rest of London, and what's even better is you'll always get a seat on the underground from Brixton. Waterloo is just a couple of stops away, but there's plenty of exciting destinations you can travel on foot or by bike. Denmark Hill is also within walking distance. If you need to get to Kings Cross or Farringdon for further afield destinations, then that's only 4 stops away from Loughborough Junction. People here are friendly, interesting and you'll never be bored here.

Start your day with a lovely leafy-filled cycle around and finish it with a flat white at Harbour Cycles (which doubles up as a bike shop just across the road) or Caya cafe (on the way to Brixton market on Coldharbour Lane). Chill or get active. Billed as London's friendliest boxing gym, Miguel's Boxing is great for fitness classes or more serious boxers, which is just around the corner. As you can tell there's so much to do and see here.

The night scene is buzzing in Brixton. Grab some popcorn and catch a film at Ritzy if you're fancying a sit down, or head to The Junction Jazz bar on Coldharbour Lane if you want a boogie. Their live music is on every day of the week. Both are great date spots.

...and full of fun!

  • Post Office: 1
  • Stores: Head down Electric Avenue to explore all the local shops filled with random goodies.
  • Pubs: Bask in Fox on the Hill's beer garden - a fave local spot next to Ruskin Park.
  • Walks: Ruskin Park and Brockwell Park are just a couple of suggestions, but there's pockets of green space in this urban area.
