We can't mention Brixton without mentioning Brixton Market. There's always something new to spot whilst wandering around; whether you want some fabric for a DIY project, some local produce to try out a new recipe or a sit down meal at one of the many great restaurants which caters for everyone.
You're super connected to the rest of London, and what's even better is you'll always get a seat on the underground from Brixton. Waterloo is just a couple of stops away, but there's plenty of exciting destinations you can travel on foot or by bike. Denmark Hill is also within walking distance. If you need to get to Kings Cross or Farringdon for further afield destinations, then that's only 4 stops away from Loughborough Junction. People here are friendly, interesting and you'll never be bored here.
Start your day with a lovely leafy-filled cycle around and finish it with a flat white at Harbour Cycles (which doubles up as a bike shop just across the road) or Caya cafe (on the way to Brixton market on Coldharbour Lane). Chill or get active. Billed as London's friendliest boxing gym, Miguel's Boxing is great for fitness classes or more serious boxers, which is just around the corner. As you can tell there's so much to do and see here.
The night scene is buzzing in Brixton. Grab some popcorn and catch a film at Ritzy if you're fancying a sit down, or head to The Junction Jazz bar on Coldharbour Lane if you want a boogie. Their live music is on every day of the week. Both are great date spots.
