Stratford-Upon-Avon
Local life

This apartment provides a fabulously located two-bedroom, two-bathroom place to call home or a great rental investment. You are a short stroll from Stratford-upon-Avon town centre, there is parking and the apartment has been lovingly maintained. We look forward to showing you around.

As you enter the grounds through what feels like a secret walled garden, you are greeted with a private and very peaceful communal area.  This well-maintained lawn offers a lovely place to relax, sheltered by a range of trees and shrubs with the only interruptions from the birds singing and the occasional dog walker strolling down the original tree-lined avenue.

On entering the first-floor apartment, you are greeted with a good size hall leading to a light, spacious sitting room with dining area and a balcony overlooking the gardens and The Avenue beyond.  The sitting room leads through to the kitchen which also benefits from fantastic views and offers a great range of integrated appliances including a dishwasher and new washing machine and plenty of worktop space to prep the perfect brunch or delicious supper.

Location

More than Shakespeare

Bursting with culture, cafés and class

Stratford upon Avon is a world-renowned destination for those seeking culture, but what is it like for the locals? Stratford is a fantastic place to live, amazing walks and parks, great shopping, more restaurants than you can ever dream of as well as outstanding schools, the River Avon and beautiful countryside beyond.

Stratford dates back over 800 years and this is evident in some of the architecture that surrounds the town, including William Shakespeare’s birthplace which still stands proud in the town today. Stratford, however is not a town stuck in its past and has a fully embraced modern life. The beautiful Bancroft Gardens on the Waterside is a destination of choice when the sun is out, enjoy a coffee or a glass of something stronger at the waterside restaurants and cafes while you take in the hustle and bustle of musician’s, performers or simply watching children run around chasing birds.

Head further into the town and you will enjoy a full range of shops, from the high-street chains to the independents, several galleries, is it time for a tea break? You’ll be spoilt for choice from the more traditional afternoon teas including the amazing cream cakes at Hobson’s Pattisserie or enjoy a more modern take at the Boston Tea Party or Pantry.

For the foodies amongst us, there is the fortnightly Farmer’s Market or the monthly Sip + Supper Club; bringing together a vibrant bunch of local independent businesses ready and raring to share their finest produce with you. There are a number of specialist food and drink shops including Paxton and Whitfield, Vinology and Truffles Chocolatier as well as the yearly Food Festival.

Historic past, with a fantastic future; from festivals and plays to great shopping, huge range of restaurants and surrounded by beautiful countryside – what’s not to like?

As the evening draws in you have plenty of restaurants to choose from including British, Mediterranean and Thai. Fancy a cocktail? Then head to the RSC Rooftop Terrace before watching a play at the World Famous Royal Shakespeare Company Theatre or head to the champagne bar at The Arden Hotel before a walk along the river.

Mrs Clarke loves the selection of independent shops as well as catching a play at the RSC or an old film classic at the Picture House Cinema

Mr Clarke enjoys a pint or two at the Old Thatch Tavern, Encore, Dirty Duck and Cox’s Yard followed by hiring a boat on the Avon to show off his rowing skills to impress Mrs C.
