A more perfect location in Marlow, you could hardly find. This lovely abode is situated in a superb road, and set back behind the gated front garden, within easy reach of all that this rather exceptional and vibrant market town has to offer. Available from December 6th, 2022.
Step across the threshold and a chic interior awaits. The entrance hall is welcoming, and leads through to the bright and modern living room with its large window, framing the lawn, trees and shrubbery. Snuggle with a steaming mug of cocoa in hand, on a winter’s day and just let the world go by outside. Luxury flooring flows underfoot, and throughout the ground floor’s open plan layout, designed with modern living firmly in mind.
Whilst there’s an abundance of bistros, restaurants and gastropubs nearby (including Tom Kerridge’s Michelin-starred Hand & Flowers), the stunning dining kitchen alone may be enough to tempt you into a relaxing evening in.
Large and contemporary, it’s the perfect place for a convivial supper with friends, and the hub of the home for all the family. Cream, Shaker-style cabinets and neutral hues add sophistication and a sense of tranquility to this space.
Chat through the day ahead - and catch up afterwards - at the impressive island with its stylish lighting overhead. Perhaps try a new recipe or two. With its range of fitted appliances, expanse of worktops, and generous cooker and hob, you’ll find that it caters for everyone, from the budding chef to the keenest culinary star – and all those in between!
Whether it’s a morning coffee, or evening glass of red, it’s the perfect setting day or night. Roof lights swathe the interior in natural daylight – it’s large enough to accommodate a generous sofa if you choose, and steal a little time to dip into a good book in the wonderful airy and bright space. Throw open the large double doors leading onto the rear patio and simply enjoy the fresh air and outdoors.
Upstairs, you’ll find two of the three double bedrooms and a study on the first floor. One bedroom has a gorgeous large window, allowing daylight to flood in and provides a lovely view of the tree-lined road outside, and the other enjoys garden views. The study, meanwhile, is ideal for those working from home days.
The contemporary theme continues in the main bathroom, defined by its clean lines and sleek wall and floor tiles. And the suite, including bath and shower, is crisp and white.
The master bedroom, on the second floor, is beautifully airy with a window to the front and roof lights to the rear, providing dual aspect brightness. There’s ample storage under the eaves, too. It has the luxury of its own en suite shower room, boasting a stylish towel rail, shower, and feature basin set into a grey vanity unit.
Outside, it’s BBQ heaven, with a sundrenched, south-facing patio, and private outlook. Settle down in a quiet corner, enjoy the flora and fauna in the raised borders, and switch your phone to silent for a little zen. The lawn is perfect for relaxation or play and, if you fancy stretching your legs even further with friends or family, the picturesque River Thames is only a stone’s throw away.

Marlow
Friendly vibes
Marlow is one of the original down-from-Londoners’ honeypots. Something about its pretty historic streets, and the dreaminess of the Thames hung heavy with weeping willows and boat clubs, has for centuries pulled in those sick of the Smoke – like Percy and Mary Shelley, probably after peace, quiet and a better work-life balance than they could get in the capital, with its streets running with ordure and don’t even talk to me about the cost of barouche-landaus. Legions have followed ever since.
The river is a big draw for legendary Olympians and mere mortals alike. — you may see Sir Steve Redgrave wandering along the banks watching the eager weekend rowers, paddle boarders and boaters. There’s a winning food scene led by Tom Kerridge’s Hand and Flowers, the only UK pub with two Michelin stars, and popular year-round events including the Marlow Regatta and Pub in the Park.
Marlow is unquestionably well heeled. Smart residents have an array of places to be seen and to see each other. The High Street is buzzing and the schools are sought after. There are sports clubs to join, parks to play in, bookshops to browse around and numerous places to buy champagne. Yes, this is a bustling town, yet you’re also in the heavenly walking territory of the Chiltern Hills where you can dare to get your Le Chameaus muddy.
If you’re concerned about schooling, Marlow has it covered. Sir William Borlase is a grammar school right in the centre of town and is renowned for its excellent education, along with Great Marlow School. The primary schools (Spinfield, Danesfield etc…) all have fantastic reputations along with the fine selection of public schools in the area.
Idyllic & postcard pretty
- Closest village/town: Lots of pretty villages in The Chilterns
- Post Office: 1
- Stores: The High Street has some classic favourites as well as some smart independents.
- Supermarket: No one goes to super markets anymore do they! It's all about delivery from Ocado right?
- Pubs: Too many to mention. The Hand & Flowers is the best known but there is everything from Champagne bars to old school boozers
- Walks: Endless countryside walks in the hills
