Mr Clarke thinks :
This gorgeously laid out home is somewhere where everyone can have fun.
Once you step inside, you feel right at home. It’s sunny all day long, inside and out. The living room is cosy and it’s perfect for entertaining. We can imagine some whiskey, chess and watching the world outside of the bay window one day, and Netflix and popcorn the next. The original brick feature fireplace is a great focal point. It’s so comfy and cosy here you’ll want to get into your pjs and keep your slippers on all day long.
Solid oak flooring runs along the living spaces of the ground floor, and in the kitchen there’s concrete style floor tiles (which means easy to clean for us!) Have you ever seen a home with a feature fireplace in the kitchen? The olive green paint is more than a colour - it’s actually represents peace which is very apt for the whole vibe of this home. You can either have tea on the dining table, looking out onto the moody weather, or when it’s a warm evening you can hop outside onto the newly fitted decking to enjoy dinner alfresco. There’s plenty of solid oak work surfaces to prep your newest recipe attempt. There are lots of nifty hidden storage. The brand new utility room is in a great location to dump things, close the door and forget about them - perfect for an unexpected friend visit.
Mrs Clarke loves :
The mix of modern interiors and period features. It's so cosy!
Upstairs you’ll find three great sized bedrooms, a contemporary bathroom and bundles of charm. The main bedroom is more like a hotel suite - you can stay here for most of the day. There’s space for a tv, wardrobe, all the drawers you desire and a massive king size bed. It’s nice and quiet up here too. The second bedroom has fitted mirrored wardrobes to keep everything neat and tidy. It would make the perfect kids bedroom. The third bedroom could have many uses; a dressing room, guest room or a work from home study as it is now. The bathroom along the hall is newly fitted and has a separate bath and shower to suit any mood.
The rear garden was a summer lockdown project. It’s been fitted with decking and railway sleeper boarders, a newly laid patio with reclaimed slabs (sustainable - we like), the blueberry bushes are thriving and twice a year you can pick them. It’s a very low maintenance space. The front of the home was newly decorated in October, so all you really need to do is pack your bags and you can move straight in!
- Three words : Charming. Comfortable. Space.
Our favourite part
You'll be friendly with the neighbours in no time. There's a wonderful community spirit around here.
Local Life in calming Cwmbran
The development enjoys excellent transport links with easy access in minutes to M4 junctions 25 and 26. There are several local pubs in walking distance including the Three Blackbirds, Greenhouse and Parkway Hotel complete with leisure club and swimming pool. An M&S Food outlet along the Malpas Road is perfect for that impromptu shop or snack stop. And for the active leisure seeker, the Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal and national cycle network is easily accessed from Pentre Lane just across the road, and a short drive in the car can deliver you to the first tee of Greenmeadow Golf Club.
From the lounge you will see a country road that drops down into nearby Ponthir, connecting you easily to the historic village of Caerleon. Here you can spend an hour or an afternoon. Take in the Roman amphitheatre and museum, before sampling the delights on the many independent cafes, bars and restaurants. Or why not head up Belmont Hill to the five-star Celtic Manor Resort and International Convention Centre Wales. All this on your doorstep, a doorstep in Llantarnam ready with vacant possession, waiting for its new owners to fill it with love and laughter and create new memories.
Family life is perfect here; Rougemont private school offering education to both primary and secondary pupil age ranges up to A level is nearby. That private doctor appointment is moments away at the nearby St Joseph’s Hospital.
