You’ll find an electric gated entrance and secure driveway parking on arrival at this thoroughly contemporary home situated in a quiet cul de sac. The exterior is smart and the footprint unapologetically large. Standing at nearly 4,500 sq ft, Rosebank is as capacious as she is aesthetically striking.
Inside the entrance hall, the feature staircase pays homage to carpentry craftsmanship, and the interior design that unfolds before you is quite simply sublime. Breathtaking even. And unequivocally packs a punch.
Although the proximity to the profusion of bistros and gastropubs in Marlow, including Tom Kerridge’s Michelin-starred Hand & Flowers, will – quite rightly- turn your head every now and again, dining out may become ‘so last season, darling’ when your kitchen is as gorgeous as this.
Channel your inner masterchef with a host of sleek, integrated appliances and large expanses of marble worktop space. Clean lines and white cabinets exude class and, taking centre stage, is a large island for a leisurely family brunch or cheeky glass of bubbly with friends.
Underfoot you’ll find large format tiles whilst, up above, the vaulted ceiling radiates an immediate sense of airiness as light streams in through the expanse of windows. We love the open plan aspect through to the dining area where you can catch up on the day over supper, and this flows through to the chilled-out family room, and then onto the living room - a relaxation retreat. There’s a handy downstairs cloakroom, great for busy family life, and the cosiest of snugs, too. Movie night, anyone?
Upstairs, there are five good-sized bedrooms with thick, sumptuous carpets and plenty of loft storage. The principal bedroom is particularly spacious and has a crisp, white modern en suite shower room, with contrasting fixings, where no attention to detail has been spared.
The family bathroom is also contemporary in design, with a hotel-chic suite and deep, freestanding bathtub. Turn the lights down low and add a ‘do not disturb.’ This has long, dreamy soaks written all over it.
In addition to the main home, Rosebank also incorporates an incredible ground floor annexe with two more stylish bedrooms (both en suite) and an open plan kitchen, utility and living room, as well as an additional studio with living and bedroom area, shower room and kitchen. This layout has bags of potential for multi-generational and flexible living with seven bedrooms in total, but can also very easily be re-modelled, if desired, providing a seamless fit with your lifestyle.
With private gardens to three sides and river views, the outlook is as captivating as the interior. There’s even a gate that leads directly to the riverside itself, and to Gossmore Park. You’ll find a lovely raised patio area for al fresco entertaining throughout the seasons and the lawn is as perfect for pottering about on as it is for playing.

Marlow
Friendly vibes
Marlow is one of the original down-from-Londoners’ honeypots. Something about its pretty historic streets, and the dreaminess of the Thames hung heavy with weeping willows and boat clubs, has for centuries pulled in those sick of the Smoke – like Percy and Mary Shelley, probably after peace, quiet and a better work-life balance than they could get in the capital, with its streets running with ordure and don’t even talk to me about the cost of barouche-landaus. Legions have followed ever since.
The river is a big draw for legendary Olympians and mere mortals alike. — you may see Sir Steve Redgrave wandering along the banks watching the eager weekend rowers, paddle boarders and boaters. There’s a winning food scene led by Tom Kerridge’s Hand and Flowers, the only UK pub with two Michelin stars, and popular year-round events including the Marlow Regatta and Pub in the Park.
Marlow is unquestionably well heeled. Smart residents have an array of places to be seen and to see each other. The High Street is buzzing and the schools are sought after. There are sports clubs to join, parks to play in, bookshops to browse around and numerous places to buy champagne. Yes, this is a bustling town, yet you’re also in the heavenly walking territory of the Chiltern Hills where you can dare to get your Le Chameaus muddy.
If you’re concerned about schooling, Marlow has it covered. Sir William Borlase is a grammar school right in the centre of town and is renowned for its excellent education, along with Great Marlow School. The primary schools (Spinfield, Danesfield etc…) all have fantastic reputations along with the fine selection of public schools in the area.
Idyllic & postcard pretty
