Mr Clarke

This is an opportunity to build a unique, contemporary house that will become one of the finest homes in Solihull.

Permission has been granted to construct a two-storey house designed by MADE Architecture on a 1,070 m2 plot, one mile from the centre of Solihull.
Green Ridge has been sensitively designed and configured to ensure interest and variety in both appearance and space. The design incorporates both single storey and double storey elements to create a beautiful play in form and composition. The aspiration of Green Ridge was to create a stunning and unique home, boasting the highest standards in architecture, design and sustainability.
The arrangement of the internal accommodation is entirely flexible but the original scheme envisages a ground floor with entrance hall and void above, WC, snug, utility room, master bedroom with dressing room and en-suite bathroom, two further bedrooms, family bathroom and large open plan family room including kitchen. It is the family room with glass doors on two sides looking out to the gardens that gives Green Ridge it’s name. The main living space has been planned to be flooded with light and it’s flow to the outside garden creates an airy feel, which is an outstanding feature of the home. The first floor comprises two further bedrooms each with en-suite bathrooms.

MADE were clear from the outset of the design that the dwelling would have a minimal impact on the existing landscape. The landscaping is envisaged to take a natural approach with spaces for relaxing, playing and socialising.

Being environmentally progressive is one of the drivers of the design. MADE have included photovoltaic panels and a rain water harvesting system. The roof is also planned to be planted with native grasses and wild flowers.
Attention has been paid to the orientation of the house to make the most of the cool northern lights and to reduce solar gain.
Green Ridge will replace a derelict building on the land fronted by a residential dwelling numbered 90, Broad Oaks Road in Solihull. Separate pedestrian and vehicular access will be installed to provide private access from Broad Oaks Road.

      Summary

      • Residential Development Opportunity : Land with planning permission
      • Total Internal Area : 260m2 Total Internal Gross Area: 280m2 Total Gross Area: 325m2
      • The plot is located in Broad Oaks Road, which is one mile north west of Solihull centre.:
      • Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council Planning Permission: PL201551773PPF:
      • Plot : Appx. 1,070 m2
      • Our favourite part The family room. We love it because you can open the huge windows and make use of the garden effortlessly. Children and dogs running in and out, carrying food out to patio and making the outside part of the home is wonderful. When the British weather is unkind, you can close the windows but still appreciate the garden.
