Traditional, yet with modern touches, this beautiful home exudes character. And there’s parking aplenty, with space for four cars on the stylish block-paved driveway. Step inside and the Dining Hall is true to its name. Large enough to dine in comfortably, it provides a wonderfully grand entrance. The Farrow & Ball colour palette is divine and flows throughout the home, where attention to detail is taken very seriously.
We love the hand-crafted, capacious dining kitchen, painted, again, in iconic Farrow & Ball. The open plan design, meanwhile, lends itself beautifully to family life. Gather round the centre island and enjoy a bite to eat together whilst catching up on the day. Bi-fold doors allow the light and airy space to be completely opened up to the garden, whilst natural daylight floods in further from the Velux windows. And the dreamy, uninterrupted views stretch across the fields and beyond.
Appliances are integrated and even include a wine cooler. There’s also a separate utility room for keeping the laundry in check, and a downstairs WC.
Kick off your shoes and relax in the sumptuous living room. All you need here is a good book or favourite playlist to unwind from the day.
The dedicated games room is incredibly versatile. Young or old, tween or teen, it makes a wonderful getaway and playroom. Or gym… Or perhaps a hobby room... We have a feeling that this space will be popular!
With four double bedrooms and two bathrooms, there’s plenty of space for everyone. The master bedroom, with fitted wardrobes, is generous and the romantic, glass Juliet balcony provides the perfect vantage point to look out onto the backdrop of pastures below.
The en suite bathroom boasts a large, walk-in monsoon shower for the ultimate drenching experience, and there’s a stylish vanity unit with feature basin.
A gorgeous, freestanding bath commands attention in the well-appointed family bathroom (we’re picturing candles and bubbles), and there’s a double vanity unit, and large shower as well.
The garden, featuring a superb outdoor kitchen, has entertaining written all over it. Enjoy food and drinks on the patio with friends and family, and with that vista to enjoy, it’s a space that you’ll want to use all year round.

Catherine-de-Barnes
Local life
Catherine-de-Barnes village is as lovely as its name suggests, with a close-knit community, and only a couple of miles from Solihull, with its broad range of well-known shops and restaurants.
A more perfect location for Birmingham International Airport you could hardly find. Birmingham International station is also on your doorstep, along with the lovely surrounding villages of Knowle and Dorridge. Knowle, in particular, has an excellent range of independent shops, boutiques and restaurants. Enjoy cocktails or indulge in a sumptuous afternoon tea at Jacques, or seafood at Loch Fyne.
Be sure to visit The Boat – right next to the canal in Catherine-de-Barnes itself – for brunch or Sunday lunch. And The Fox restaurant, also in the village, prides itself on seasonal, sustainable food and cool vibes.
There’s a good choice of primary and secondary schools in nearby Knowle, Dorridge and Solihull, as well as excellent independent options. If you love a stroll, you’re in for a treat as the Grand Union Canal is there to be explored and a trip to Packwood House, a local National Trust property, is well worth a visit. Especially with a four-legged friend!
You’re spoilt for choice when it comes to supermarkets, with all the big names close by, including M&S and Waitrose. But for sandwiches, it has to be @No.6 in Hampton in Arden. There’s also a super corner shop here for essentials, and a local train station.
The motorway network is easily accessible, with the M42 just a couple of minutes away, leading to the national network. And London can be reached by train in as little as 70 minutes. Yet, in the idyllic village of Catherine-de-Barnes, you could be a million miles from anywhere.
