Mr Clarke thinks :
I'll never get tired of looking at the views over Severn Valley.

Hornyold Court is a Grade 2 listed Georgian home, known by many locally for housing the famous Hornyold Arms. In earlier times this home was owned by the famous Admiral Benbow, who ran the building as an Inn. Now what you see is a wonderful home forming part of 10 beautifully converted apartments of different styles. The walls and floors were lovingly brought back to life by the current owners in 2019 using traditional materials.

This really doesn’t feel like an apartment; with a warm and welcoming double-fronted facade and your own front door, it’s in perfect position to explore the beautiful scenery which surrounds you. Step inside and be delightfully surprised.

Step into the spacious hallway. Throw your coat off and slip your shoes off after a rigorous walk on the hills. You’ll be pleased with the ease of space here, which is often missing in many hallways. The open plan living room presents an illuminated space boasting panoramic views over the Severn Valley. Pop a table under the window and enjoy the views whilst eating breakfast…such a start to the day! The Victorian style fireplace with its decorative tiles gives a focal point, pop a dried flower arrangement or some beautiful candles to light the room here.

Hopping across the hallway to the kitchen, there is space to host a lovely family meal, or host a dinner party. The fully refitted kitchen offers oak units, marble work-surfaces and integrated appliances. So, like we say, plenty of workspace for cooking and entertaining your guests!

Mrs Clarke loves :
Decorated in neutral colours this home offers a relaxing atmosphere with such cosiness.

The generous master bedroom feels like a luxury hotel suite; this room provides plenty of space for wardrobes and even a dressing table. Not to mention, a comfy armchair where you can relax, read a book (or admire the views to the Severn Valley) with that well-earned cuppa.

The bathroom was recently re-fitted with a good quality modern suite, a vanity wash hand basin, flooring and wall tiles making cleaning that much easier. Prefer a bath to soak in or a shower for a quick morning wake up? This bathroom has both!

To enter the second bedroom you pass through a hallway that is spacious enough to be utilised as a study area, with plenty of space for a desk. The second bedroom is also a lovely bright room decorated in neutral colours with light streaming through the window and the wonderful views. This would be a lovely guest room for visitors or great for a couple to house share.

Summary :

  • Three words :  Characterful. Comfortable. Home.

Our favourite part
Amazing views over the Severn valley.

Great Malvern

A delightful Victorian town

This area is truly lovely to stroll through. Asides from hosting a wealth of culinary delights, the theatre offers entertainment for all ages. West End productions and Christmas Panto’s are a real treat. Pop over the hill to Ledbury to see timber framed houses (including the outstanding market house built in 1671). Ledbury was also voted as one of the best places for Christmas shopping whilst supporting local businesses. If you can't wait until Christmas then...Why not visit Worcester which is steeped in history, where you can admire the Cathedral? Or pop to Upton upon Severn which hosts independent shops, cafes and restaurants, a place to while away those long summer days?

For the commuters or jet setters it’s worth noting that Great Malvern and Malvern Link station offer a good service to national train links to London and The Midlands. Both the M5 and M50 are less than half an hour’s drive away.

There are many opportunities for educating your children including Malvern Wells Church of England primary school which is walkable. For secondary education Malvern has two great schools, Chase Technology College and Dyson Perrins Church of England Academy. There are several private schools too in the nearby area!
