the multiple spaces that can be tweaked to suit your needs

Situated on the distinguished thoroughfare of Jessop Road, this four-bedroom detached home has an air of timeless sophistication.

Mike loves:
the plot and the size of it

Nestled in the esteemed Mount Pleasant neighbourhood of Rogerstone, Jessop Road stands as a distinguished four-bedroom detached residence, embodying the enduring legacy of this well-established community since its inception in the early 80s. Positioned on a sizeable end plot, this property provides ample opportunity for potential expansion, subject to necessary approvals.

Upon entering, a meticulously renovated WC immediately greets, showcasing both functionality and refinement. Moving forward, the lounge gracefully transitions into a dining area through an inviting archway, offering the potential for a spacious, uninterrupted living space across the entire frontage.

Adjacent to the main living area, a snug or office awaits, accompanied by an additional dining space, presenting the option for seamless integration into a singular, spacious area of comfort. These lead through to the the kitchen; a convivial focal point, features a galley-style layout with pristine white units. Nearby, another dining area boasts a captivating fireplace, providing the possibility for it to blend seamlessly with the kitchen if a redesign of the space is desired.

Heading upstairs the staircase, the original house offers three bedrooms, one of which includes a roomy ensuite, harkening back to its former use as a bedroom, offering the potential for a seamless reversion if needed. A family bathroom completes this level.

In the extension, a unique architectural element is revealed. Accessed via a staircase from the snug/office, another staircase leads to the fourth bedroom, adding an intriguing dimension to the layout.

Outdoors, the property commands a generous corner plot. At the front, a lush lawn and ample driveway welcome multiple vehicles. At the rear, a low-maintenance oasis takes centre stage, featuring a spacious patio and seating area, a sanctuary that requires minimal upkeep. Here, access to a garage and a driveway await, providing flexible entry points - whether through the front drive or the more discreet rear approach.

Rogerstone

An up and coming area...

Rogerstone

Sitting on the outskirts of Newport, but close by to Bristol and Cardiff, is Rogerstone. Home to the award-winning Welsh brewery Tiny Rebel, which was conjured up by two brothers in their dads garage, this place is forever becoming more exciting.

The area is home to the gorgeous Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal, which is an idyllic place to mooch around on foot or wheels – time stands still and history overwhelms. The locks have been restored and the Café at the visitor centre is a popular point to congregate and natter over a latte.

Rogerstone is perfect for families as it’s home to a selection of great primary schools. It’s not uncommon for people move to the area just for this reason, especially Bassaleg High School. Catchment plays a big role in whether your child can attend the school, and with education being a high priority for many of our buyers. Mount Pleasant Primary is another notable mention, which made the papers in 2014 when Barack Obama famously paid it a visit.

The area has two train stations, Rogerstone and Pye Corner, which both have lines that run to Cardiff.
