Kara thinks:
This is the perfect example of open plan living. It's open, but not too open. I'm also in love with the way the inside is connected to the garden. This is the perfect family home.

Mr and Mrs Clarke exclusive. This stunning four bedroom home in north Leamington Spa is being exclusively advertised on and the Mr and Mrs Clarke social channels: Tik Tok & Instagram @theclarkeshouse

Kara loves:
Where do I start? From the moment you step inside you feel like you have entered the pages of an interior design magazine.

The memories of childhood and being surrounded by loved ones inspired the bright and playful open-plan design of this Leamington Spa family home.

"We wanted a home where we could be all be together - eat together, share stories and make memories. But we also wanted places to close off where we could be quiet and take time to reflect peacefully."

The layout achieves exactly what the owner set out. There is a vast kitchen dining room that is effortlessly connected to the garden via full width glazed doors. The raised seating area above the kitchen is the ideal spot for reading time with little ones and there are two living rooms that can be formal sitting rooms or playrooms for children of any age.

As well as being beautiful, there is a pleasing functionality to the design that includes lots of storage, a utility room and a cloak room. We particularly like the entrance porch area where coats and shoes can be dumped so the interior is kept neat and clean.

Quirky details, such as patterned tiling, shelved room dividers and an abundance of colour and texture proves that a family home doesn't have to be void of style.

The Porcelanosa kitchen feels like you have jumped into the pages of Living Etc. The huge island is where breakfast meetings take place and where evening meals are created. The Samsung appliances make the kitchen uber techy and we are big fans of the inclusion of a wine fridge - family life is tough without a good wine.

Upstairs there are four bedrooms and three bathrooms, plus lots of storage. Each bedroom has a it's own unique style - our favourite is the main bedroom that is more akin to a boutique hotel suite than a normal sleeping space in the middle of Leamington.

At the back of the house there is a large and beautifully landscaped garden. The porcelain tiles run from the kitchen to the patio, which encourages you to fling open the doors and spend time in the fresh air. The vast lawn is perfect from children to run around on and there is even a garden room at the end of the grass that would make a superb home gym, art studio or a retreat for guests.

Local Life in Leamington

Royal Leamington Spa, or Leam as we Leamingtonians like to call our beloved town, has the lot… tree lined avenues, hip and happening social scene, pretty parks, great schools and great coffee shops. Leam has it all.
Leamington’s streets of Regency town houses, which equal those of Cheltenham’s or Brighton’s in my humble opinion, are full of gorgeous homes and friendly people. There is a grand sense down every street.

Well connected? Leamington is super well connected. The M40 nips past to Birmingham, Oxford and London; Stratford-upon-Avon and Coventry are a 20-min drive away; Birmingham 40 mins.
The town has emerged as one of the Midland’s most highly regarded places to live for families who love the schools and activities, as well as young singles and couple who love the bar, restaurant and cultural scene.
If you like shopping, you will love the town centre’s mixed independent shops and High Street chains.

Mrs Clarke loves the boutique feel of the town centre, with its mix of hipster coffee shops like The Larder and the gorgeous shops like Collective and Farrow & Ball. The High Street has all the big names and then there is the M&S food hall.
Mr Clarke has a few favourites of his own. His personal tailor at Clements & Church, a pint at The Pug; breakfast at Haddie & Trilbie’s little sister Wilhelmina and lunch at Nana’s when he needs to impress Mrs C.

For a bit of fresh air you have lots of options; Jepson Gardens is wonderful and the Aviary coffee shop is the icing on the cake. Art in the Park happens each year and is a great family day out filled with curiosities. Victoria Park and Newbold Comyn are other spots you should go for a picnic.

Education options include Arnold Lodge & Kingsley School For Girls, which are good independent schooling options, and excellent state primary (St. Peter’s) close by. Secondary schools (Myton, Trinity, North. Leam). Leamington College and Warwick University are also here.

Tree lined avenues, great shops and a buzzing social scene. What more could you want?
