Mr Clarke thinks :
This is a truly magnificent private residence.
Home is where the heart is, and this home is definitely one to love. Nestled in a wonderful setting, this stunning home is a wing of a beautiful Victorian house. Here is the perfect place for your modern family to play and grow as there’s plenty of space (2600sqft to be precise); a generous 33ft family room which hosts the kitchen, four warm double bedrooms, and three bathrooms.
Walking into the lovely tiled hallway, you get a sense of the history and character that this beautiful home will greet you with each day. Head through to the kitchen and dining room. Here is a fantastic place for the whole family to eat and relax, and it’s great for dinner parties too. The thoughtful design shows as everything has been thoughtfully zoned in order for each area to have a specific purpose. From the shaker style kitchen with granite worktops and range oven, to the dining area in front of the feature fireplace, this room is not complete without the cosy lounge where you can put your feet up and catch up on the days events. Head through to the spacious living room, and you can truly admire the high ceilings and stunning open fireplace which gives this space a grand feel. The beautiful orangery is a true gem as it connects you to the wonderful outside (you can also head to the cellar from here…time to collect some bottles!) This is a home to be proud of.
Walking up the stairs, you can't help but notice the double height stone set stained glass windows, as well as the unique moulded ceiling on the double width landing. There’s something unique everywhere you look. On this first floor are two double bedrooms and the family bathroom, with the larger bedroom benefiting from a spacious ensuite and access to loft space. Climb the stairs again to find your stunning master bedroom. Fully fitted wardrobes, newly fitted ensuite; a slice of heaven. There’s a further bright double bedroom on this floor too.
Mrs Clarke loves :
It's a lovely mix of period and modern living.
To the front of this home is a gated gravel driveway and parking for your cars, as well as space for your guests. The stunning landscaped features are second to none; the box hedging around the circular patio oozes luxury. This really is a fully thought out home which has sprinkles of character, curiosities and charm throughout. To the rear, the wraparound patio and path lead up through the lawn garden to the sun terrace at the rear. What a treat! There is also access to a second driveway and large garage as an added bonus. We think this is an ideal abode for your discerning family.
- Style : Victorian home with the most incredible original features.
- Three words : Grand. Character. Space.
Our favourite part
A stunning stone wing oozing charm and character.
A perfect town
Head to the far east of the Surrey and you'll find a charming town with a big personality set at the foot of the North Downs - Oxted. This charming little town is popular with commuters due to a fast train in to London Bridge in just over 30 minutes, as well as also going direct in to London Victoria. The town provides everything you could wish for, including a large Morrisons, a Little Waitrose and boutique shops of every size.
There are enough lovely restaurants to dine out every night for a fortnight and newly refurbished Everyman Cinema. You're surrounded by National Trust walks, as well as having Peter Rabbits den for little ones and big ones to spend Saturday mornings.
Lying in the eastern part of Surrey in the local district of Tandridge, Oxted was listed in the Domesday book of 1086 as Acstede which translates as 'place where Oaks grow'. It is an attractive bustling town with a direct train service to London. The Carpenters arms is one of our favourite spots to enjoy a cold beverage after a busy day, or you can stop here for something to eat after a lovely walk! We recommend the stunning gardens at Titsey Place, one of Surrey's largest surviving estates.
Moving here will mean Hazelwood private school is only a short walk away, and luckily you're in the catchment area for the ‘Outstanding' Limpsfield CE infant school. It will also mean you're close to Limpsfield Chart Golf Club - perfect!
