I’ve had an idea for a film for a while – a rom com based in an idyllic little English village. The setting would be the star of the film, it would epitomise the English countryside. There would be rolling fields, lambs being born, horses trotting along the lanes, a handsome farmer doffing his cap as he drives past on his tractor. The cast would be a mix of wealthy ex-Londoners who have fled the smog for fresh air and families who have been in the village for generations. The romance would revolve around a quaint pub, where phones are banned and everyone is super duper charming. The love story would be about a couple who move into the village and create a beautiful home for themselves and their family and fall in love all over again because the village is just so blinkin’ perfect.

Mousley End is a tiny little hamlet in the heart of the Warwickshire countryside. You are minutes from Leamington and Warwick in one direction and Solihull and Birmingham in the other. There are train stations that can whizz you into London in under 90mins and there is Birmingham International that can fly you across the World within a twenty quid taxi.
Waitrose is the closest supermarket. The pub is called The Case is Altered and is possibly the best pub in the history of all drinking establishments. There is a cricket club, tennis club, rugby club and, thank goodness, no night club.
