Mr Clarke thinks :
To my mind, a discerningly different home is one that is surprising and unexpected. This definitely ticks those boxes.
Sitting proudly on Queen Street in the "Royal Quarter" of Stamford, this stunning three bedroom home delights and surprises. The property has been cleverly re-modelled to provide a spacious interior with an effortless connection to a smart garden. The stylish makeover in every room makes the home feel like the pages of Living Etc. Downstairs is divided into a large open plan kitchen/dining room, sitting room, living room and an internal garage. Upstairs has four bedrooms and two bathrooms. This home balances playfulness with functionality.
Inside you’ll discover a home full of original features like lovingly restored wooden floors and fireplaces, juxtaposed with a youthful energy and modern interior design flair.
The grand entrance opens to a pretty hallway with several doors taking you to the reception rooms and kitchen. The first door you come to in the welcoming entrance hall is the Living Room - there is the sense of intimate ambiance as well as a large sense of drama. Dark grey is far more than just a paint colour - this room symbolises balance and harmony. Paired with the warmth of the floorboards, the built in shelves where you can pop all of your prized belongings, and bay windows, this room is a cosy snug where you can catch your breathe after a long day.
The next room is the Sitting Room where the decor is light, bright and cool. Currently a play room, it could be a home office (we are getting artist studio vibes) or the largest of dining rooms. A flexible room whatever you require.
Mrs Clarke loves :
There is not just one real focus. Everything inside and outside this home is to love!
Head next door to the kitchen - the heart of a home and it’s usually where the party preparations start. The vaulted ceilings and neutral decor makes this a sophisticated room to celebrate friendship, food and good times. You can watch the little ones in the garden from here too, eat, drink and generally be happy.
The garden is designed as another living space. The decking area has been enjoyed over the past few years as a morning coffee spot, as well as where the party finishes on a summers evening. Indian stone decorates the floor and mature shrubbery lines the borders.
Heading upstairs, it’s comforting to know that you are on one of Stamford’s most desired streets. It’s super calm and quiet, and you’ll hear birds chirping all day long. The top floor boasts recently restored vaulted ceilings and vellum windows to create maximum space, light and character.
The further room could be used as an office, recording studio (as it is now) or nursery. It's the perfect size.
- Three words : Home. Sweet. Home.

Local Life in Lovely Stamford
Voted one of the top 5 locations to live in the UK, the Georgian town of Stamford can afford to boast about its beauty and culture. Romantic, historic and incredibly desirable, the town offers so much in the way of heritage and with over 400 Grade I and II listed buildings, character and charm lies round every corner.
Within a short hop and step from each other are an abundance of independent and brand name shops, cool bars, fantastic array of restaurants and funky cafes. You have to check out Shekleton Wines (takeaway or sit in). If you like your tea served in a traditional tea pot with a sweet something on the side then the Crown Hotel is for you - even your well-behaved dog can expect a welcome treat! For those that enjoy a good Sunday roast the Bull & Swan serves delicious roast dinners and their traditional puddings are something to behold - they even have an outdoor cinema in the summer months! The best treat by far to start any celebration is a cocktail at the world-famous George Hotel. Whether you dine in the Garden Room or the main restaurant, the food, service and atmosphere is second to none.
There is the stunningly beautiful Burghley House and estate which holds many annual events such as the Burghley Horse Trials, Game Fair, and the extremely physically challenging “Rat Race”.
There are some fantastic schools for kiddly winks of all ages and private schooling is available in town at the renowned Stamford Endowed Schools.
Commuting couldn’t be easier, it’s a short walk to the towns very traditional Railway Station which provides access to all local and national rail services. London, amazingly is only 55 mins by train and 1 ½ hours in the car (well assuming no roadworks on the way!), the A1 runs just to the west of the town, giving easy access to both north and south.
Stamford is surrounded by some breath-taking countryside and bringing an element of this to your door we have the Stamford Meadows which runs alongside the River Welland to help you blow off the cobwebs or to just enjoy a long Sunday ramble. Rutland Water, Europe's largest man-made lake, is approximately 5 miles from town and offers an exciting day of water sports and facilities including fly-fishing and sailing.
