All the work’s done and I’m a stroll away from The Clarendon. What’s not to love about it?

A spacious and beautiful four bedroom, detached home in the heart of Kenilworth. The property has been completely renovated into one of the stand out homes in the area. 14, Randall Road feels like stepping into the pages of a interior design magazine.

Kenilworth is a very special town with a lovely community. It’s a treat to have a home as jaw droppingly stunning as this. I can’t wait to show it off to all my friends!

From the moment you walk through the front door you are treated to a sense of warmth and space and you instantly feel at home. The heart of this fabulous home is undoubtedly the kitchen. The large open plan area is subtly divided into cooking, dining and sitting spaces, which are beautifully framed by bi-fold doors looking out to the garden. The luxurious kitchen has been cleverly designed to include a vast floating island with two sinks, seamlessly carved into the marble work surface. Within the island are not one but two dishwashers, a boiling hot water tap and lots of storage space. The Rangemaster oven has plenty of hobs for the chef of the house and there are lots of work tops to prepare food or sit and chat with whoever is knocking up supper. The dining space has room for a table for ten and when the weather is good the doors can be flung open for barbecued meals to be brought to the table. The sitting area is perfect for curling up in front of the stunning Contura log burner. It is a wonderful, sociable space where the whole family can be together and it would be great entertaining space for the house warming party. Off the kitchen, is a useful utility room with WC, space for washing machine and dryer and there's a Belfast sink for washing your favourite cashmere sweater, or the dog, or the dog cashmere sweater! There is bags of storage in here too, for all those bits and bobs.

The downstairs doesn't end there. There is a lovely front sitting room with a stunning 1930 Art Deco wood burning stove and obscured glass double doors designed to let the light through but keep the privacy when needed. This room has lots of possibilities; it could be a formal sitting room with sofas focused on the fire, or maybe a library and study, a separate dining room or a playroom. Whatever its use, it nice to have the option to open it up to create one fabulously sociable open plan space.

Under the stairs there is a cleverly designed desk area for you to sit at and look through Pinterest for inspiration on how you will furnish this fabulous home. Head upstairs where you will be thrilled to find four bedrooms, one with ensuite shower room, and a stunning bathroom, which is more like a designer hotel room in Marrakesh than a standard washroom in Warwickshire.

The master bedroom is at the back of the house and boasts large windows, soft carpet, space for free standing wardrobes, Velux roof lights and a beautiful shower room. The second bedroom is larger than the master and has French doors leading out to a balcony (to be installed before completion of sale). There are two more bedrooms at the front of the house, one is a large double and the other, a single bedroom currently used as a nursery.
The bathroom is a thing of bathing heaven. His & Hers sinks on a floating shelf, wood floors, large shower with gorgeous tiling and a Velux window above, a free standing bath tub and a fireplace all set off with the most beautiful Tadelakt plaster, which needs to be seen to be believed. This is a bathroom you will not want to leave.

Our favourite part
Mrs Clarke is obsessed with the bathroom and Mr Clarke loves the kitchen. Mrs C likes this and has told Mr C that she will have a soak while he knocks up that pasta dish he used to make her.

Trendy cocktail bars and Waitrose

It’s really well connected, with Birmingham airport just 20 minutes away and should you need to pop down to London and it’s just over an hour from Coventry station. You are a short walk away from the train station linking Kenilworth with Coventry, Leamington and then the wider rail network and are a stroll away from Waitrose, The Kenilworth Cocktail Lounge, The Almanack, Indian Edge and Talisman Square.
With a further hop and step… You can be eating supper at Michelin starred The Cross and you can be drinking a pint at Kenilworth’s oldest pub The Virgin & Castle.

Kenilworth High Street boasts banks galore, numerous coffee houses, bundles of restaurants, funky bars, fantastic schools for children of all ages, a Waitrose, Boots and a weekly farmers market that dishes up some delicious local produce. Mr Clarke is particularly fond of the high percentage of pubs all within wobbling distance of each other.

Kenilworth is surrounded by breath-taking countryside and some lovely walks are on hand to help you blow off the cobwebs after work or if you just fancy a long Sunday ramble. We particularly like the walk from Kenilworth Castle to the Alpaca Farm “Faerie-Tale Alpacas”. Not to mention the outstanding park, Abbey Fields.

There’s a super friendly community spirit in Kenilworth too and you’ll always find something in the calendar to enjoy. It could be the annual bonfire and fireworks display that draws in thousands of folk. Or the annual duck race on Boxing Day (no, not real ducks). All in all, it’s a place you’ll feel at home.

Psst…Join The Warwickshire Country Club (the sauna is sooo relaxing.)
