This gorgeous home is such a hidden gem, we're completely in love!

Introducing Rochester Road, a captivating home nestled in the heart of Beechwood, Newport that beckons you with its delightful features and enchanting surroundings.

Amy loves:
The unique design touches peppered throughout.

Boasting three bedrooms, two reception rooms and an array of captivating features, this residence offers an extraordinary blend of style, comfort, and relaxation.

Step inside and be enchanted by the grandeur of this gorgeous home. Highlighting its allure are the two generous reception rooms that provide ample space for both relaxation and lively gatherings. With high ceilings adorned by original plaster coving and striking bay windows, these rooms bask in the glow of natural light, casting an enchanting ambiance throughout. Both living and reception rooms are generously proportioned, offering the perfect canvas for your gatherings.

Whether you're savouring coffee in the sun-soaked “library” or relishing a dinner bathed in evening light in the dining room, these spaces foster cherished moments. This front living space boasts a large bay window that bathes the room in sunlight, accentuating the ornate wooden fireplace and log burner.

The interiors of this home have been meticulously styled, showcasing a harmonious blend of contemporary finesse and timeless charm. Original floorboards upstairs, with the exception of the shower room, retain the character of the past, while antique brass light fittings and reclaimed wood doors add a touch of rustic allure. The thoughtfully designed spaces, creatively adorned with a rich array of colours, invite you to unwind and entertain with equal ease.

Nature seamlessly melds with the indoors as the verdant embrace of the wild garden extends its tendrils into the heart of the home. Large windows blur the boundaries between interior and exterior, allowing you to enjoy a sense of the outdoors even as you sip your morning coffee.

The heart of the home, the kitchen, is a masterpiece in itself. With its blue shaker-style fitted cabinetry, black metal handles, and stunning black granite-effect worktops, this culinary haven is a dream come true. The unique curved ceiling with spotlights, enhances the contemporary atmosphere. Equipped with modern appliances, including an integrated electric oven, induction hob, and extractor hood, it's a space where culinary creations come to life. The large window above the stainless steel sink offers views of the enchanting rear garden, while the double glazed door infuses the room with natural light and provides easy access to outdoor dining on the patio.

The enchantment continues upstairs, where the principal bedroom resides in a rich palette of deep colours, currently set up as a wallpaper studio but elegant enough to be transformed into a master suite. This spacious haven is illuminated by a bay window, with double door wooden storage cupboards providing both practicality and sophistication. Bedroom two, another double bedroom, has rear garden views and offers built-in wardrobes. With it’s deep rich tones, it offers a stunning contrast to bedroom three, which is currently used as a home office and showcases delicate pastel tones on walls adorned with contrasting artisan wallpaper.

The shower room complete with shower enclosure, WC and pink vessel sink with a backdrop of neutral and glazed blue metro tiles, provides the perfect spot for some R&R.

Outside, the front forecourt beckons with it’s potted plants and inviting paved area, a prelude to the captivating garden that awaits. The rear garden is a true masterpiece, a sanctuary of calm and beauty. Mature plants, distinct seating zones, and a charming lawned area come together to form a captivating outdoor escape. Stepping stones guide your journey through this verdant paradise, making it a space perfect for gatherings or moments of solitude.

Rochester Road couldn't be better placed, with Beechwood Park just a short walk away, offering tennis courts and stunning views. Excellent schools like Eveswell School are within reach and the café culture is alive with options like Beechwood Park Café and charming spots in Belle Vue Park.

Beechwood Newport

A collection of greenery in Newport

Beechwood Newport

This area of the city is a typical victorian suburb, only a few miles out from the city centre and sits in between two main arteries of the city, lying at the foot of the Christchurch Hill. Beechwood Park is right on your doorstep so you can look forward to weekend strolls in crunchy-leaf Autumn through to summery picnic days. If you want to indulge, head to the 5 star luxury Celtic Manor (which is a five-minute drive away up Christchurch) to top up on your golf skills, or pamper yourself with a facial and relax in the jacuzzi.

Kitting out your new home will be easy if you go and speak to Paul in Beechwood Beds, and if its a candle you’re after then he has plenty of these too. If your taste in furniture is somewhat more vintage the Umbrella Project has loads of pieces ready painted in Annie Sloan’s Paris Grey which is just down the road in Maindee. It’s worth making a morning of treasure hunting here to be honest! Pretty much next door is what is fast becoming an icon – especially if you have a sweet tooth – Beth Bakes. The most delicious cakes and sweet things…bring a rucksack.

Newport’s more established food icon, Palfrey’s is a stone throw away, where the Beef Wellington prepared by butcher Mark will become a weekly staple. If you like Middle Eastern cuisine then Sen BBQ fights for supremacy in our house…which I’m sure is the same in many homes across the city. You get to know the coffee shop owners here, and everyone is super friendly, so you will feel welcomed for sure.

Maindee is served by some cracking primary schools; Eveswell, and St Julians Comprehensive is not too far away either.
You’re well connected here too. There’s plenty of great transport links throughout the city so when Christmas shopping calls, you don’t need the headache of finding somewhere to park. If you’re heading further afield, turn onto Chepstow Road and you can be on the M4 within a few minutes, or head northeast from there and the countryside awaits at Wentwood Forest – wonderful!
