Mr Clarke thinks :
The location is great for the family and the property is immaculate.
Located in the heart of Dorridge, this large four bedroom house has everything the discerning family could ever want - two great reception rooms, stunning kitchen, vast garden, four double bedrooms, two bathrooms and a studio at the bottom of the garden. Park the car on the driveway and head into the home. The entrance hall is light and leads into the beautiful kitchen, which has been recently updated. This is a kitchen worthy of the pages of an interior design magazine - flooded with natural light and cleverly designed to include lots of storage and integrated appliances. The central island is perfect for the family to sit at and enjoy time together. The French doors in the kitchen lead out onto a patio, where you can relax with a cup of tea on a Sunday morning or have a BBQ in the summer.
There are a couple of steps down onto the lawn, which is big enough for a game of cricket. The final third of the garden is hidden by a neat hedge with an archway leading to a secluded courtyard with a huge studio - this is not a shed, you will hurt its feelings if you call it that. This is a fully insulated room with electricity and space for a gym, pool room, office, yoga studio or a playroom.Back inside you find a stunning living room that has been extended to provide a space that can be one large space or it could easily be divided into a sitting room and dining room - as it currently is set up. The bifold doors frame the garden beautifully and allow for an effortless connection with the outside. The other reception room is a front room that is set up as a sitting room. This space could be a snug, office, playroom or a dining room. The options are endless.
Mrs Clarke loves :
The amazing garden. I can't wait to invite my friends over.
Upstairs you find four double bedrooms and two bathrooms. The loft has been fully boarded and carpeted and could be used as a playroom or a snug. The Master Bedroom has full length fitted wardrobes and space for a bed and dressing area. The second bedroom is a similar size to the Master and is perfect as a guest room or children. The two other rooms are currently older "teens" rooms but could easily be set up for a nursery, toddler or guests. The family bathroom has a bath, shower and lots of space. The second bathroom has a large walk in shower. It's great to have two bathrooms to save arguments on a morning! Back downstairs there is lots of storage space in the utility room and the garage. You can throw everything in here to keep the house looking as great as it does now.
- Three words : Location. Style. Entertaining.
Our favourite part
The abundance of natural light.
Luxury Living with everything on your doorstep
Dorridge is a lovely leafy suburb renowned for its luxurious housing and great rail connections. The schools are tip top and seriously sought after with a good selection of both private and state options. In the village centre you’ll find everything from a butchers, bakers and there is probably even a candle stick maker!
You are spoilt for choice of where to meet for coffee. One day it is Espresso where they chat about schools on the vintage leather armchairs. Another day it's going out for something a bit more special (it's all about cocktails) at Oktogon in Knowle. If pints are more your thing, then head to The Ale Rooms on the way home from work, or a sunny afternoon. Families fight for the best table at The Bread Collection in Knowle for some of the best pizza this side of Italy.
David Lloyd in Solihull is excellent for swimming lessons or Earlswood for riding lessons.
Pop on the Barbour jacket and Hunter wellies and head to nearby Lapworth for a countryside walk to help you blow out the cobwebs after work or if you just fancy a long Sunday ramble.
Mr Clarke loves the fact that he can grab his favourite flat white and a pain au chocolate right on the platform at the station before boarding the 06:56 to London.
Dorridge is possibly the best connected place in the UK. As well as the railway station, you are minutes from the Midlands Motorway Network with the M42 having links to the M1, M5, M6 and the M40. Mrs C loves that Birmingham Airport is just 16 minutes by car and Solihull is a mere 10 minute drive.
Tree lined avenues, well connected and a super friendly community. What more could you want?
