Mr Clarke thinks :
There’s lots of storage as well as a great garage!
Set in an architecturally rich part of town, this lovely home sits in a pair of semi’s at the beginning of a quiet cul-de-sac. Spread over 3 floors and is a mix of open plan and some more intimate spaces. Everything makes sense. Every inch of this home has been well thought out with storage cupboards dotted around and a downstairs WC at the front of the house, handy for washing mucky little hands before lunch. Within a few minutes walk you can be in Belle Vue Park sampling the delights of the artisan market or catching up with your mates over a flat white in the conservatory.
Open the front door and you immediately feel welcomed home. Make your way into the kitchen and dining room through the sweet entrance hall. This room is the perfect space for spending time with the family (or it could easily be a peaceful retreat to enjoy a quiet evening). You are struck with a warm homely sense of happiness. This house is great. The modern kitchen is a dream, and the open plan works effortlessly well.
You may think this is the end of the downstairs space, but oh no...There’s even a basement! This is a great addition to the home, and very sought after space. You could create a cinema room, a music room, or even a studio…the possibilities are endless and we can’t wait to see what you come up with.
Back upstairs you climb the staircase to discover the surprising space upstairs. A short landing leads off to the master bedroom, which looks out over the city roof tops and has that handy ensuite. Next door is another great bedroom where the kids can sprawl or guests would enjoy.
Mike has lived in and around Cardiff and Newport all of his life and has a deep knowledge of the Stow Park area. The location of this home is fantastic; it's a true gem inside and out. He looks forward to showing you around.
Mrs Clarke loves :
that it’s a hop, skip and jump to the beautiful Belle Vue Park
Making your way along the landing, a painted white doors leads off to the another double bedroom with some great storage that overlooks the front of the house and further on to the bathroom. . This great sized family room has a lovely bath and has lots of space to add the extra storage needed for a busy family.
The garden is a special place. It’s quiet, private and best of all you can imagine sitting basking in the sun in Summer. Stow Park Drive really does feel like home, and you can move straight in. There’s lots of storage in the separate garage, there's even more space underneath which makes this an ideal home for a young family or a down sizer.
Making your way along the landing, a freshly painted white doors lead off to the another bedroom that overlooks the garden and further on to the bathroom. Adding extra light to the three of the bedrooms are charming internal windows. The great sized family bathroom has a lovely bath and has lots of space to add the extra storage needed for a busy family.

This really does feel like home, and you can move straight in.
A collection of greenery in Newport
The Beechwood area of Newport is a leafy neighbourhood, only a few miles out from the city centre. It's well known for its tranquil Victorian park featuring Beechwood House, which is both a beautiful Grade II listed building and a creative community venue. Beechwood Park is right on your doorstep so you can look forward to weekend strolls in crunchy-leaf Autumn through to summery picnic days. If you want to indulge, head to the 5 star luxury Celtic Manor (which is a five-minute drive away up Christchurch) to top up on your golf skills, or pamper yourself with a facial and relax in the jacuzzi.
Kitting out your new home will be easy if you go and speak to Paul in Beechwood Beds, and if its a candle you’re after then he has plenty of these too. If your taste in furniture is somewhat more vintage the Umbrella Project has loads of pieces ready painted in Annie Sloan’s Paris Grey which is just down the road in Maindee. It's worth making a morning of treasure hunting here to be honest!
Newport's food icon Palfrey’s is a stone throw away, where the Beef Wellington prepared by butcher Mark will become a weekly staple. If you like Middle Eastern cuisine then Sen BBQ fights for supremacy in our house...which I’m sure is the same in many homes across the city. You get to know the coffee shop owners here, and everyone is super friendly, so you will feel welcomed for sure.
Beechwood is served by some cracking primary schools; Eveswell, and St Julians Comprehensive is not too far away either. You're well connected here too. There’s plenty of great transport links throughout the city so when Christmas shopping calls, you don't need the headache of finding somewhere to park. If you're heading further afield, turn onto Chepstow Road and you can be on the M4 within a few minutes, or head northeast from there and the countryside awaits at Wentwood Forest - wonderful!
