Mr Clarke thinks :
There is lots of space for the whole family and the property is in great condition.
Nestled on a pretty country lane in the idyllic village of Stretton on Dunsmore sits this gorgeous four bedroom house. It is one of those properties that has a special kind of atmosphere that makes you feel at home. The mix of open plan rooms, snug spaces and calming bedrooms makes the house perfect for a family or a couple who like having guests. This is a pretty perfect house.
The downstairs has a large open-plan kitchen with a dining area. There is a utility room with back door (perfect for muddy dogs and children). The Reception Hall is used as a study and could be a lovely sitting or dining room based around the log burner. The main sitting room has a big fireplace and French doors looking out to the pretty cottage style garden. Upstairs has a spacious landing, beautiful bathroom and four fabulous bedrooms. The Master bedroom has a chic en-suite shower room. There is a private drive and a detached garage. The garden has a lawn for playing, a patio for relaxing and entertaining and lots of space for a veggie patch or rose garden.
Mrs Clarke loves :
Open the windows and listen to the sounds of the countryside.
Stretton on Dunsmore is a bit of a secret. When we first visited we thought we had been transported into a perfect version of the English village. People are friendly, there are two cracking pubs, a pretty church, shops and the usual amenities we all need and an old red phone box. It is picture perfect and a wonderful spot to call home. It is also brilliantly located to access Rugby, Kenilworth, Leamington and the motorway network to whizz you to London or northward bound. Guests enter the house through the front door, into the entrance porch and then into the grand Reception Hall. The family will go in through the back door and into the utility room so they can dump their wet coats and wellies, wash their hands and straight into the kitchen for dinner. The kitchen is split into a dining area, where you can fit a table for eight, and a kitchen for cooking or standing around drinking tea. It is a great sociable space where the familiy can be together all doing different things.
The sitting room has lots of windows and French doors opening to the garden. During the day the room is flooded with light and fresh air. By night, the curtains are drawn, the fire lit and a board game played (they were the good old days!)
There is space for a library or study in the Reception Hall or a dining table. The antique log burner creates a warm welcome on a cold day.The bedrooms have space for storage, it is likely that one room will be a single room or study and one room a guest bedroom. The Master bedroom has lots of storage and a gorgeous en-suite shower room. The garden is as low or high maintenance as you want and all the tools can be fit into the large detached garage.
- Style : Pretty house with space and charm.
- Three words : Pretty. Perfect. Home.
