Mr Clarke thinks :
Rare opportunity to snap up one of the most stylish homes in the area
After several years of planning, building and styling, the Old Brick House now offers everything you could want for modern life, and much more. The large, glass front doors open into a spacious atrium entrance hall, which is flooded with natural light from the roof windows and soft artificial light from the spots and stunning chandelier. The floating staircase invites you to take a look what is upstairs. But we will start our tour downstairs...
The open plan kitchen/ living room to be precise.
The first thing you notice when you walk into the room is the garden and the views. The large sliding doors at the end of the room frame the garden beautifully. You almost forget to appreciate the interior. The sleek white, floor to ceiling units are effortless. The resin work surface provides plenty of work and eating space. There is an induction hob, a wine cooler, integrated fridge, frezzer, oven, microwave and warming drawer, a boiling hot water tap and every modern touch you could dream of.
The polished concrete flooring is hard wearing as well as timelessly chic. Did we mention that there is underfloor heating?
The large living space beyond the kitchen offers flexibility for entertaining or for a cosy night in. There is an L-shaped sofa focusing on the amazing views into the gardens and a formal dining table easily expandable to sit 12.
You then turn to head back into the heart of the home and you take a look upwards. Pick your jaw off the floor and stop saying “wow!” and appreciate the mezzanine. There are rooflights, exposed steel beams and a glass wall. It is stunning. “We put a projector up there, close the blinds and watch movies on Saturday nights with friends.”
Back through the entrance hall there is a smart WC. Turn right and you come to the master bedroom with en-suite bathroom and dressing room.
The calming tones of the bedroom are sublime. The bathroom is pure luxury - large walk in shower with big head, big bath tub, sink and storage. The dressing room allows clothes and shoes to be stored out of sight. It is a wonderful bedroom, not forgetting another great view from this space into the gardens.
There are two further rooms downstairs. A laundry with streamline cabinets, washing machine, dryer, sink and plenty of work space. The other room is currently used as a snug to curl up with a glass of wine during winter nights. However this room has been used as a gym and office before. It is light and spacious and would suit a variety of uses. It could make a wonderful bedroom.
Mrs Clarke loves :
The design features - especially the floating staircase
Someone of a nervous disposition may not like climbing the floating stairs. But for the brave and the style conscious, these stairs are one of the highlights of this home. Even those with a touch of vertigo will feel like they are in bedroom heaven at the top.
There is a large bedroom with dressing area and en-suite bathroom, a further bathroom serving the multi-function space on the mezzanine floor. All are perfectly proportioned, beautifully decorated and offer flexibility for how people want to live. We love how it’s set up. The bedroom has soft grey carpet, large built in wardrobes and multiple windows that allow views of the stars. The en-suite has a walk in shower and free standing bath tub both with digital controls so you can personalise your temperature. It’s a bedroom that has lots of space but feels like a luxury London boutique hotel.
Then there is the garden. Actually there are several parts to the garden: The Social Garden, The Kitchen Garden, the Bedroom Garden and the hot tub garden. The Social Garden is fit for a summer party for a super star DJ, Hot tub for champagne drinking, decking for dancing, lawn for lazing and patio for the decks, a designer water feature frames the areas whiles creating a beautiful background ambience.
The Kitchen Garden has been planned by a garden designer and is packed with fruit and vegetables.
Surrounded by privet hedging, cherry and apple trees.
The Bedroom Garden is the perfect private spot to have coffee on a lazy Sunday morning listening to the birds chirping.

Our favourite part
The kitchen and open plan space with mezzanine floor. It is such a wonderful, light, sociable space. The house warming party in here will be incredible.
Nestled in the beautiful green fields of the north Warwickshire countryside sits the small town of Shustoke.
Luxury is living in an idyllic spot, away from prying eyes where you can enjoy life without interference.
Whilst feeling like you are in the middle of the countryside, a much needed retreat from the fast pace world of the cities, you are actually so well connected that you can enjoy the benefits of both countryside living and city entertainment and connectivity. Birmingham, Coventry and Solihull are all twenty minutes away or better still, that same distance could get you on the nearest plane ready to jet you off to far reaching destinations.
Whatever your mode of transport the choice is there; M42, M6, Coleshill and Birmingham International train stations and the excellent Birmingham International Airport are all within touching distance yet far enough to feel that disconnect from the outside world. Not forgetting the future HS2 station which will be within a ten minute drive.
Shustoke is a small village offering all the best of countryside living. The local pubs serving homemade ales and fresh food. A must try is the hunters chicken at the cottage inn, yum! There are endless weekends of enjoyment on the footpaths and cycle networks meandering though the countryside. Just mentioning a few, Shustoke reservoir & Kingsbury Water Park are all within touching distance.
Don’t worry if this sounds too tranquil for you as Coleshill is only seven minutes drive and it provides you with all the necessities; supermarkets, butchers, post office and restaurants. Or if you just fancy just a cream tea and a read of your country living magazine there are a number of boutique cafes on the quaint high street to test out.
