This is high specification and high drama, from the moment you walk in the front door. A timber staircase and herringbone engineered parquet flooring welcomes you into a magnificent double height space. When you're done with the school run/working day/or even coming home from an evening stroll, you'll feel welcome and at ease as soon as you turn the key in that door. Above the front door sits a large expanse of glass, a modern take on the ‘Borrowed Light' of more traditional doorsets. This is the first of many light harnessing powers this house beholds; the owners have renovated the property with light and calmness in mind.
From the crisp white hallway through to the main living areas, first you are treated to a glimpse of a snug, and quite an impressive sized snug at that. Currently used as a playroom, this handsome, inky toned space would make an ideal lair for late evening nightcaps and card games or simply snoozing on a Sunday afternoon.
Into the main space, it is clear what makes this home so special. It is reinvigorating, with the sliding doors offering an immediate connection to the outdoors; it is quirky with its very bold take on open plan living; and it is impressive, everything on display, contemporary and light-filled. The nine metre wide sliding doors move across the entire width of the back of the house, offering stunning views of the garden and across a paddock to the sheep grazing in the field.
In the kitchen space, a nifty integrated beer tap, with concealed beer keg kept in the broom cupboard and two electric ovens, including two further warming drawers and an induction hob, make this kitchen a baker's paradise. It is one slick kitchen, stylishly thought out. Take in the full width mirror which has been added behind the sink area, to reflect the outdoors from every angle. Large skylights flood the space with light and, elsewhere, recessed spotlights up the ambience come nightfall. It has been documented that a Christmas hosting 21 guests has been held in this space - just imagine the joy and laughter. A concealed downstairs WC sits near the garage to the front of the home. Currently used as a gym and utility space, this rough and ready room has bags of potential.
Throughout Warwick Road, Deuren luxury internal doorsets flow, adding a softer, more earthy touch to this otherwise pristine home. The oak tones connect beautifully with the engineered parquet flooring and give a softness as you head upstairs.
Set off a mezzanine landing, the bedrooms are all equally beautifully designed, calming and luxurious. The main bedroom has recessed hue smart track lighting and a panelled wall for texture. This room naturally comes with an en suite, porcelain tiled from floor to ceiling with a wet room shower. Everything is built-in and concealed, making for a flawless finish. Large windows open up onto the fields at the rear of the house.
Three further bedrooms (one currently serving its time as an office) are equally beautiful and serve as simple canvases, waiting to be lived in. Every room can accommodate a double bed, meaning growing families need not shuffle around. The main bathroom has a marble effect tile and concrete style floor with a large free-standing bath tub and floating sink. It is spa-like.
At the front, next to the driveway, two beautiful magnolia trees sit, with a private hedgerow separating from the neighbours. However, it is out at the back of the house, past that nine metres of impressive sliding glass, where joy truly comes home. The single level garden is not one dimensional; where a porcelain patio and hardwood decked area zone the outdoor space and slatted fence panels add a contemporary touch. It is the low picket fence, with sight lines of the field of sheep, that makes this home a showstopper.
